This video helped figure out the proper orientation of the tensioner pulley. Once the belt breaks, the pulley and bracket assembly falls out of position. Unless you know how it's supposed to be installed it can be difficult to figure out. Thanks, MarkA19

Beko Tumble Dryier - Model DRVS 73 W the Belt 9PHW 1967 has broken. Is there a step by step guide on how to fit the replacement belt.

Very easy on all tumble dryers.

This is simply a case of:
Take the top off the machine (Usually a couple of screws holding the lid on at the back).
Or - Rempove the inspection panel from the back
Drop the new belt over the drive motor spindle
On some machines you may need to thread the belt around a tensioning wheel
Now take the belt and place it on the side main wheel that drives the drum and simply spin the drum wheel with your hand, guiding the new belt into place as you spin the wheel.
It should simply stretch a little and work its way onto the wheel as it is hand turned.

Note, once it is on, take a look at the drive motor and make sure that the belt is sitting in the same place as the old one. Most of these motors have a slotted spindle and you can see from the clean and shiny surface where on the spindle the belt used to sit. If it is a little out of place, once again just take hold of the belt and pull it toward you or push it away as you spin the main drum wheel in order to move it into the correct slot.

Rubber band on drum keeps slippig off

The big rubber band is the belt. Check the idler pulley at the motor ,make sure the belt is threaded on the pulley right and the belt is where it should be on the drum. Don't know what model machine you have but check anything the drum rides on such as a pulley.Hope this helps.

My Belt keeps slipping off the Pulley. My main

What changed?
The pulley can't change by itself.
The main crankshaft pully is usually called the harmonic damper.
It has a layer of rubber between the inner and outer.
If the rubber is shot, the outer ring may be able to move.
You need to examine it closely to see if the thin rubber stip is loose. Look at a new one in a parts store, or online.

If bad, you not only need to be sure of the direection the retaining nut or bolt turns, but you may need a steering wheel puller to get it off. You can borrow, rent, or buy a puller cheap at AutoZone, JC Whitney, or Harbor Freight. There usually are threaded holes in the damper for that purpose. Put nut or bolt back on loosely so no thread damage from puller.

Drum does not turn

Here are a few things to check. If you don't feel comfortable performing these check, please have a repair person come in and check it.

* Broken belt. Open dryer and see if belt is still wrapped around the drum. Pull on the belt to make sure it's not just hanging there. Inspect belt condition. Do not apply spray adhesive in this case: replace the belt. If belt is broken, look for contributing causes for failure such as worn drum rollers, damaged felt kit, or stiff idler roller.

* Motor burned out. Remove belt from motor pulley and start dryer. If motor runs but is noisy and motor is unable to turn the drum when the drum belt is threaded back on the motor pulley, then replace the motor.

* Thermal fuse is open. Run continuity test.

Hope this helps.

Cant get the belt on

If you have a tensioner, the pump will be bolted to it.
If not, thread the belt round the wheel on the drum and hold it as though you are going to put it on the small motor pulley wheel.
Spin the drum slowly by hand and let the belt feed onto the motor pulley wheel.
It`s just like putting a bicycle chain on when it`s come off.
Hope this helps you

You probably need to thread the new belt over the drum by removing the circular rubber front seal temporarily. After putting the seal back on, ease the belt into the correct position and thread over the pulley on the motor. You will probably find it easier to put it over the pulley wheel of the motor first, with the belt partially off the drum. Then rotate the drum manually whilst easing the belt over it.
