Probably not--it's checking to see if the configuration is correct for your computer. It should disappear quickly. You can't do anything on the computer anyway until the system finishes booting.

I just bought a stairmaster 7000pt with a broken console screen. I replaced all the broken parts but it's still not working. Any ideas?

Display reads CONFIG RQRD or NTM CONFIG RQD on Stairmaster Equipment Probable Cause The message CONFIG RQRD or NTM CONFIG RQD appears when the console needs to be configured for the machine type it is installed. This message is common when the console has been replaced or if the settings have been changed. Message is commonly seen on various Stairmaster equipment such as bike models 3000CE, 3300CE, 3400CE, 3600RC, 3800RC and 3900RC; stepper models 4400PT, 4600PT, 4400CL, 4600CL and SC916; stepmill models 7000PT and SM916; elliptical model ClubStride 5100.
Corrective Action
  • Make sure the unit is in an "idle" state. "Idle" state means the console is not displaying an error or any message that requires data input. The display should basically be freshly powered up, scrolling the EKG or welcome message
  • Configure the console for the proper machine type by pressing Level UP, 80, ENTER
  • Using the Level UP or Level DOWN keys, scroll through to the proper machine type (Bike, Elliptical, Stairclimber or Stepmill)
  • Once the proper machine type is shown on the display select the machine type by pressing ENTER
  • This completes the steps necessary when your Stairmaster display reads CONFIG RQRD or NTM CONFIG RQD
Stairmaster Console Message CONFIG RQRD or NTM CONFIG RQD

I have an acer AL1912 and a (auto config please wait) gray box keeps popping up,how do i stop it

If it gives you message about the resolution, set the computer to use native resolution of the monitor. You can change the resolution by right clicking on desktop and choosing "screen resolution".

Wont boot/ says auto config over and over

Then use Recovery Console:
To boot from the Windows XP CD, insert it into the CD-ROMdrive on the problem system and press [Ctrl][Alt][Delete] to reboot thecomputer. Once the system begins booting from the CD, simply follow the promptsthat will allow the loading of the basic files needed to run Setup. When yousee the Welcome To Setup screen, press R to start the Recovery Console.

You'll then see a Recovery Console menu. It displays the foldercontaining the operating system's files and prompts you to choose the operatingsystem you want to log on to. Just press the menu number on the keyboard, andyou'll be prompted to enter the Administrator's password. You'll then findyourself at the main Recovery Console prompt.

After restarting windows use a system utility software like RegInOut.

When my computer starts it shows message" Auto config please waite" how can I stop this message as it slows down start of computer.

The message you are describing comes from your monitor. The auto config is the screen automatically resizing to match your computers resolution. You will have to consult the instruction manual for your monitor to see if this feature can be disabled.

You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD-ROM
Select “r” at the first screen to repair

So then i click r at the first screen and nothing happens...It keeps on repeating to repair on and on with the same message after i clicked r. I can't even access to the window...what can i do???

Cant boot, get window saying restore last good known config etc

If you are asking how to re-install Windows XP, you must boot from the cd to do that. Either change your bios settings to boot from the cd first or immediately after the POST screen press F12, then choose boot from cd and when directed, press any key to boot from the cd.

If you're asking why your pc isn't booting there are many reasons it might not boot - virus, driver problems, hardware failure. Need more information if that's your question.
