Question about Hayward SAND FILTER, PRO SERIES
Usually It makes no difference which way that handle goes. You didn't indicate what model valve you have. The handle turns 360 degrees. I usually lift the handle up so there is no spring tension on the valve plate, makes it much easier to get the srews in. Be sure your gasket is in proper position. Only turn valve with handle lifted, and with pump off.
