Try telling the Zune software where your music is and using that software to upload to the zune. It WILL NOT upload from Windows Media Player at all. That software doesn't even SEE the zune. Good luck and enjoy the fabulous world of Microsoft Media. :)

Mp3 format is OK - I would reformat the player inside of Windows Media Player and try again.

The songs are most likely in the wrong format, or do not have transfer right - see my "tips & tricks" in my profile on song formats (2-part article)

I can't upload songs

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :-

How do i put music files on my KIN2 ?

1 Install the Zune software on your computer. To download and install this software, go to on your computer and follow the instructions.
2 Once you've installed and set up Zune software on your computer, make sure the photos and videos you want to import to your phone are in your Zune software Collection.
3 Connect your phone to your computer via USB.
4 Open the Zune software if it doesn't open automatically.
5 From the Zune software on your computer:

• To copy photos and videos or music files from your computer to your phone - Drag the photos and videos in your Zune software Collection to the phone icon at the lower-left of the page. Progress is displayed for you on the computer screen. The photos and videos you copy to your phone will display in your phone's Albums screen, where you can favorite them, share them, upload them, etc.

I download songs onto my computer that I want to ...

I'm assuming you have the Zune software installed. You'll need the software in order to interact with the Zune device, it does not work as a "mass-storage device" like some other media players.
The Zune software will find all your music. Open the software and on the top left make sure you're in the "Collection" and then "Music" category. Then click on the right hand side on the "Songs" tab. You'll see all your songs on your computer. Connect the Zune and wait a few seconds and in the bottom left hand corner of the software you'll see your device connected.
Click on one of the songs and then press "CTRL + A" and all of your songs will be selected. Click and hold and then drag one of the songs to the little icon of your Zune in the bottom left and then all of your music will sync to the device.
Hope this helps.

I have a 30 gb zune. Got all the updates loaded, turns on, charges everything works, but the music plays then there's a long pause and starts playing again. this is continuous.

I think you need to scan for virus with a good anti virus, then if possible, format it(but see if you could remove the songs that you already have to avoid the stress of getting them back).

I had a Zune 30gb and all my music is on my comp with the Zune software. I broke my Zune 30gb and bought a Zune 120gb; but, how do I set this new one up with the software so it can get all my songs?

You will have to re-sync it. You cannot just upload the "image" of your old Zune. You will have to treat is as if you never had a Zune in the first place. You CAN transfer your Zune's name and tags, but you can't have it automatically upload all of the old songs onto it.

Can't move music from Zune to new computer

No. You cannot take music off your zune and put it on another computer. You will need to copy your music files found under My Documents, My music, zune. put it onto a large flash or external drive. Then install the zune software onto the other computer i havent done so already. Take the files you copied and paste them back into the zune folder on the computer. You might have to reauthenicate music that you have downloaded. Just log in and it should be fine
