Please, help us help you. What is the error message? If it is FEE then set you lens to the minimum aperture such as f/22. Being as you have not provided us the error message anything else is a guess on our part.

Error message on my Nikon D80

I have the same message r07 on the same camera & lens combination. It is an lens error message that the lense will not focus. You can manually focus the lens in the auto mode and the camera will allow you to take a picture. I have been told it is the MR unit and cost of repair around $135.

My d 80 gives an err message on the lcd and r 09 is flashing on it, the shutter just clicks and makes the sound but no picture taken, i am frustrated please help

The r09 just tells you how many pictures you can shoot before the internal memory buffer is full. It's not an error message2_bing.gif. If the camera isn't taking a picture, then it's something unrelated to the R09 message. If the shutter clicks, then it probably IS taking a picture.

Nikon D80 error message rEE

This may be due to the aperture ring in your lens. Try the following:

1. Turn off your camera
2. Move the aperture ring clockwise then lock
3. Turn on your camera and try again.

If this does not work, do the same thing again but turn the aperture ring counter-clockwise.

No shutter release

It turns out that supporting the camera while taking a shot can impart a slight twist on the seated lens. This twist is just enough to cause the camera to think that there is no lens installed .. hence the error message. Solution (provided my Henry's Camera experts) was to reseat the lens by reversing the twist. It has since happenned twice and each time recovery was effective .... Keith
