Hello, you need to find out if the evaporator fan in the freezer is working. or if the evaporator is all iced up. If the fan is not working you will need to replace it. If the coils are all iced up you have a defrost problem and that will need to be resolved. Once a evaporator is all iced over air can not pass through it and you will loose your cooling in the refrigerator first. Check the heater and the terminator to make sure they are good. You can use a hair dryer to clear the ice off the evaporator. Once you find the bad part replace it and the unit will function normally

Thanks

Freezer not working/but fan is running

The freezer side may be icing up. Soon enough the fridge side may have problems, too. Love those Sub-Zeros, but if the defrost timer fails, it will ice up. Defrost timer is up top. A generic one will do.

Freezer side of 690 does not work (not even cool); refrigerator side works just fine.

Check the fan in the freezer department. It has to run when the door i closed. Sometimes the door switch is bad. This causes the freezer coils to ice up so the cold air does not go through the coil to cool the freezer. Unplug the power cord for 1 hour or two hours. Then plug the cord in and see if the freezer gets cold.

Have you cleaned the coil? Pop the grate off the top of the fridge and vacuum the coil as well as the grate thoroughly.
