Connection to PC for Nav software

I am trying to connect my Furuno 1732 to my PC to be able to utilize Offshore Navigator Lite. I am not getting any GPS data to the PC. Is there a driver that I need to download to the PC to allow this to work?

Assuming you have GPS input to your 1732 (i.e. GP310/320 sensor), you'll need a 7 pin NMEA data cable (000-154-028) wired to a D-sub 9 pin (serial) plug. The shield goes to pin 5, blue to #3, & white to #2. Jumper pins 7 & 8 together. The 7 pin cable goes to Data port 3 of the 1732.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Can the Furuno FCV 587color fishfinder be connected to a Navman 5500GPS

Sure, no problem, just hook the talker wires from the Nav Man to the RX wires (yellow and green I think) on the FCV585. Confirm presence of data with digital meter and try both polarities.

The display uses a serial interface, otherwise known as a comm port. You can get a USB to DB9 adaptor practically anywhere. Once you have a serial connection, you will need software such as MaxSea to send the waypoint with.

Raymarine st8002 wired to furuno

The st8002 is not compatble with rs232 data. You need to supply it with nmea 0183 data. You will need to wire it to the "NMEA port IN" on the pilot to NMEA out on your Furuno and turn on the mnea sentances "out" on your Furuno. You will need to turn on at least the following sentances GGA GLL RMB RMC.Hope that helps.

Connect Furuno 1732 to st8002 autopilot

It will handle the voltage. as far as the wiring goes, you'll have to decide which port to use. the wire coloring is different. you'll have to send your nmea out data from port 3 white and shield ( Like you said) to the pilot and receive your heading data from the pilot on port 2.

AFTER CALLER HANGED UP PHONE, THE REMOTE SITE STILL RINGING

A long standing problem with FXO's and FXS connections is the latency in Voip and signaling. That is there is a delay from the time sent to time received. There should be software settings to adjust the delay. I would refer back to the manufacture of the FXO card and see if there are any software patches or upgrades. This is a software problem.
