Question about Honeywell Electronic Programmable Heat/Cool Thermostat - CT3300A100 Heater
I just recently replaced my old mercury thermostat with a new Honeywell RTH230B programmable one. The unit cycles too often. I'm using the cooling unit right now and the tempature only comes up one degree before the unit kicks on again. Is there any way to program it to wait at least 3 degrees before it comes back on again?
It should not be doing that. The thermostat is pre-programed for only 4 cooling cycles per hour. You can change the program by :
To access the configuration menu, press both up/down buttons
simultaneously for 3 seconds.
To go to the next parameter (menu item), briefly press both
To modify a parameter, press one of the buttons.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 if necessary.
Press both buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to exit
the configuration menu.
You are looking fpr parameter CPH this number tells the unit how many time per hour to come on lower it to leghten the time betwen cycles.
