Question about Microsoft Internet Explorer 8
1. try to open the windows explorer and in the address bar type the address of any website.
2. right click on the task bar and then choose the option task manager, select the tak processes and then check for instances of the application iexplore. In casse there are multiple, select one and click on end process. repeat the same for all instances
3. In case still inaccessiable, try to restart the computer.
4. If the issue still persists, try uninstalling the application using the control pannel and add remove programs, Add remove windows components.
If the problem still persists, use a different browser

Sounds like a browser hijack to me. What operating system are you using and also what version of Internet Explorer ?
Basic IE troubleshooting always begins with clearing your temp files, cookies, and browsing history. To access your internet options go to your control panel and double click the icon labeled "Internet" options. Click the appropriate buttons to clear those items and try to load the program again.
If you are using IE 7/8 you can try to run the program without loading any add-ons to see if one of them is causing the problems. To do this, click Start -

either your shortcut is being not working properly in this case u can make it again from start->all programs
otherwise your explorer is courepted u have to install it again ok

recommend reinstalling the software, you shouldn't lose anything unless someone did a custom install of the software.. but if it was a standard install all your records should be where you left them.. WARNING!! IF you are told you must uninstall the software first do NOT select YES to the question if the directory should be deleted.. IOW KEEP the directory if possible.
