Question about EA Sports Madden NFL 2000 for Windows

Madden 2003 will not work properly on Windows 7

I installed the game on my new Compaq machine with Windows 7. When I launched the game and went into franchise mode it would not let me save. The save window states that I have no drive space in which to save. In fact, the number for the available drive space is a negative number. Again, this is a brand new machine.

I have encountered this same problem and have followed all of the recommended steps but it did not solve the problem. I think the problem is that my Madden 2003 CD did not create the folders to save the files to. Is there a way to create/find or install them?

Use Compatibility Mode "Windows 98/ME" works like a charm on
Windows 7 64 bit.

No more " -1.00 MB insufficient drive space error".

Nils, I tried it on all possible Windows versions in CM, with no luck. Can you detail your steps?

    I installed it using "typical installation" to C:\Program Files(x86)\EA Sports\Madden NFL 2003

you can play Madden normaly, but you get the "insufficient drive space error"

    Version was i think

then updated it using the updater.exe / same thing as clicking Update on Start Screen of Madden 03

so the version after updating is

you can play Madden still normaly, but you still get the "insufficient drive space error"

now right-click on Madden 03 Desktop-Symbol, choose "Troubleshoot Compatibility"
then "Select troubleshooting option" shows up with 2 options choose "Troubleshoot Program". When "What problems do you notice?" mark "The Program worked in earlier versions of Windows but wont install or run now" press "next" button. then a list with Windows Versions shows up, choose "Windows 98/ Windows ME" . After that you will see " Test compatibility settings for the program" press the "Start the program" button

Now launch.exe of madden03 starts, press "yes" to approve changes( or something like that), after that a box pops up with "Error enumerating processes!!" press "OK" now Madden 2003 Start Screen shows up press "Play" Madden starts like it would without CM, now ingame you should see under File Management that it shows the correct Hard Drive Space (you have on C:\) and you are able to Save. Madden now saves the files to the Installation Directory ( C:\Program Files(x86)\EA Sports\Madden NFL 2003) where now the folders Saved, Roster, Teams etc. should be located which i think are usualy only located in C:\ Users\ "Your Name"\Documents\ Madden 2003 (path could be named different , i'm not sure) make sure that the folders Saved, Roster, etc. are located in C:\Program Files(x86)\EA Sports\Madden NFL 2003, now saving should work.

I am encountering the same problem for 2003 and the fix above is not working, any other suggestions? Also, I can find info on where my progress within the game will be saved so not sure if it will be saving to the correct location that you had mentioned...

I can't save anything on my madden nfl 2003 on pc. I have windows 7 it always says -1.00mb. What do I need to fix the problem?

update the game using the update in the opening window. Should fix the memory problem, but might bring up "error enumerating processes" message. If so check tech. support. Look under system, look at cpu speed.

I have the cd rom disc stratego and I am trying to install it on windows 7 and it will install but it will not let me play it.. is there somewhere where I can buy the cdrom for windows 7 or somehow that I...

This game won't work on Windows 7 in any of the compatability modes. The only way to get this game to work is to run it in windows xp. The good news is that you can get free software from Oracle called virtualbox. Using virtualbox if you have a xp installation disk, you can create a virtual windows xp that runs within your windows 7. Stratego plays fine from within a virtual windows xp, provided that you play from the cd-disk not the virtual hard drive. Install the game normally in the virtual windows xp environment. After installation, to play the game, you must be in virtual windows xp, then double click the CD/DVD drive icon that looks like a bomb. If you try playing from any of the shortcut Stratego (also looks like bombs) launchers or the stratego.exe file installed on your virtual hard drive, the game will not work.Just go to My Computer in the virtual windows xp, and double click the cd/dvd bomb icon, and the game starts up fine.

I keep gettin error " 80010514" only when I play Madden 2011. All ten of my other games work just fine. Is it the game or does my system need an update to play Madden?

i have the exact same problem except with red dead redemption, all my other games work fine, but rdr has this error code, im fairly sure it has something to do with the hard drive though. when i first got the game that code came up, the second time i tried to play it worked fine, it seemed to be like a 10% chance it would work however when the patch was released it wouldnt work at all, as soon as i pressed the disc icon the message immdiatly displayed whereas before it would at least try and launch. so i went into the utility and deleted the rdr file. now its back to a 10% chance of working, however i cant go online with it and when it does work it usually ends up going all weird and stuff like people with no faces and horse riding glitch

Need help!!!!!!!!!!!

A previously released Madden NFL 08 update for the PLAYSTATION 3 was causing an error code (80010009) to appear and prevent online game play.

There has been a fix published by Electronic Arts (EA) on this problem.

This has now been resolved, but if you already downloaded the update, you will need to remove it before the game will work.

Please follow the steps provided by Electronic Arts below.

If you have encountered an '80010009' error message after downloading the most recent Madden NFL 08 update, please perform the following steps listed below:
  1. Press the PS button on the controller and select QUIT.
  2. In the main screen of the XMBTM user interface, select Game.
  3. Highlight the Game Data Utility folder and press the X button.
  4. Highlight the Madden NFL 08 file and press the Triangle button.
  5. Delete the file.
  6. Restart the game.
This will allow you to launch and play Madden NFL 08.
