Thanks, Eagle 338, for the hint on the aspect ratio. I found the manual online. Informed the customer but it took a long time for this 2nd home owner to call me back

just a heads up, can you take the rating out. It dropped my rating a few percent and just raised it up to 93%. I was just trying to keep you from getting charged two times.

    Thanks

Since you don't mention how you're receiving the signal, I'm assuming you use a cable box or computer. Adjust the output settings (e.g. 720p, 1080p) on the box and then adjust your TV settings. If it's a computer, you'll need to adjust the video card settings to a compatible aspect ratio (e.g. 1366x768) for the desktop to display properly on the TV. Details can be found in the owner's manual.

Picture is slightly too large for our sanyo DP42848

This is a problem with the aspect ratio setting. Usually found in the setup section. You can use your owners manual to locate the setup section and find the procedure for changing the aspect ratio settings. You should be able to do with the remote control or the buttons on the television. You can call the Sanyo customer support at this telephone number. 1-800-877-5032. Give them the model number of your television and they will be able to help you . I hope this information has helped you with your problem.

Aspect ratio

Try changing the screen settings for your cable provider's cable box menu. Alot of times they're not properly set in the customer's homes.

guys hope you all found the solution like me who had same issue. if you noticed, it says about the aspect ratio and that means the formated disc aspect ratio is not compatible with the aspect ratio your camera need. so re-formating the dvd with right aspect ratio solved the problem quickly and we have peace.

Called aspect ratio or ? depends on Mfr. brand................
When I go into my customers home unfamiliar with their equipment and no owners manual available, I go thru each menu
selection and check each button on the original remote.......T.

Aspect Ratio not responding/always in "Full" mode

Normally, when I see this problem in the customer's home, I find the main culprit to be the cable box. The remote for the cable box may have a button on it to change the format or picture size. You may have to go into the menu of the cable box to change the format setting. Hope this helps.
