Find out from the manufacture's support if they have an Ethernet adapter for this model of fax. If not, and the fax has a USB port on it to be able to use it as a printer, then you can look at getting an Ethernet to USB port adapter that will work with a router. You can then assign a fixed IP number to the adapter so that you can find it from any other computer in the network. The adapter would have to use one port on your home network router.

My printer will not fax says not connected to network when it is.


faxing requires some type of Phone connection in most instances, network faxing is another set of drivers that need to run on your PC, the same as phone line faxing that utilizes your modem (as long as the modem is fax capable) the issue you have is the way it is set up. first off you have to have the communications between the printer and the computer running properly. If you do not have a router with a wifi connection and the printer is connecting directly to the computer wirelessly, you need to make sure it is set for peer to peer networking, if you have a true network using a router and wifi (more than one computer can connect to it, you need to make sure you are set for that. Remember, you are not faxing from the printer if it is not connected to a phone line, you are faxing from your computer. and you need to make sure you are running the correct type of fax software, for network faxing or dial up (phone line) faxing.

It works with any router. Just install the software and follow the prompts - it will guide you through the process of connecting your printer to your network.

I have a brothers mfc8220, i am having trouble hooking it up wireless. What am i doing wrong?


The only way you can connect this wireless is if you either connect the USB cable to your router directly with a USB cable or by connecting the printer to a computer and then share it over the network.

That code is "out of toner". I would try a genuine Canon Toner Cartridge.

I don;t know what model you have but, with the message coming up Network controller not available there are several things that can be the problem.
On some machines, where the network is contained in a box attached to the back of the machine, often times, actually frequently the circuit boards will just work themselves loose and need to be reseated.
The, What Xerox calls the ESS, or network circuit board can be bad. On some other models the network hard drive is defective. Or the network firmware ( software that operates the network) may be corrupted and not loading. The best thing you can do is place a service call to have it resolved since that normally is not a simple issue.

I do not believe you can fax out through your network on this model. Please visit www.brother.com and go through the links to find your owners manual and network manual. You should find this information there.

We buy canon copier ir3035 with all acces,every thing is don but we cant install properly pdl kit,because its not accepet printing from networking or we tray to print through usb port as will after install...


(This is for your information)First ur problem is not mentioned clearly. You are mentioning network printing is having problem (this is ok) but it is not clear that printing from USB is having problem or not. And you did not mention the type and version of your operating system(OS) and the nature of your network. Installing driver is very crucially depend upon the OS and the type of network that you are having.

Let assume that you are having genuine MS Windows 2003 Server as the backbone of your network and genuine MS Windows XP SP2 as the OS of the client PCs. Some basic knowledge of networking is required to understand and execute the remedy mention below. And you should read completely first before trying out this.

For network printing problem of Canon ir3035, first check the physical network cable(UTP) if it is properly crimped & properly connected, then check the connectivity by pinging the IP of the copier (which is needed to set manually if there is no DHCP server in the network). If the copier is responding properly. Check again by pinging the server from the copier (which you will find under MENU and NETWORK OPTIONS of the copier). If both the way is responding properly uninstall the printer driver totally and restart the system. Re-install the USB driver first and then re-installed the network driver (before re-installing the network driver first check whether it has got the required IP from the DHCP server, if not assigned one according to your network). If there is no error message during the installation of the USB driver(normally USB installation does not show any error), USB printing should be ok. Thus USB case is close.

Then check the network by using the same procedure mention above. If everything is ok, you can carry out the installation process for network driver. This way there should be no network printing problem. If still there is the problem please check that you are not using pirated copy of OS. Network printing for ir3035 is not ok if pirated copy of OS is used. You have to get a genuine copy and will solved the problem A to Z.
