WLAN stands for Wireless Local Area Network. You should get the internet settings from the service provider as soon as you put in the sim and start your new phone. Anyways here is what you need to do to get the settings. For India... Type PI and sms it to 121. Type MO and sms it to 121. Type WAP and sms it to 121. For each sms you will receive a message saying the settings will be delivered shortly. Just save/install the settings when you receive it. PI stands for Pocket Internet. MO stands for Mobile Office. WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol. Subscribe all one after the other and save the settings you received. Its Customer Care so, no charges. You may get all setting with just one of the three, I am mentioning all three to make sure you get everything.
Actually, there is a way!! If you go to the menu and settings, and then sound profile...click on normal (silent, driving or outdoor)...click on the actual word (not the blue button on the right)...then you'll get some choices. Select 'voice call ringtone' and in the upper right corner, you can pick 'call, message or phone'..pick message. then, hit the 'voice call ringtone' and select your tone. if you have one downloaded, you can hit 'tones' in the bottom right corner and it brings you to your downloaded tones. hope this helps!

HI Qrasengan, 1) Open the menu, and go to profiles. 2) Enter the general option, and click on personalise. 3) after that, several option appears. 4) some of them are ringing tone, ringing type, ringing volume, message alert tone, vibrating alert, etc. 5) Go to message alert tone and change the tone u want to listen when message is received. NOte :Only wav or midi formats are accepted as ringing tone. MP3s are not accepted as ringing tones in NOKIA 6600. U need to install a software "mp3 as ringing tone" or "mp2wmaogg.codec" to make mp3 as ringing tone. =============================================== If u want that software, send me feedback or reply. And I will deliver u as email in ur email id. Sajan(email@example.com)
