    I am posting this as a 'Clarification Request' - because I know you aren't going to like the response, yet, I am trying to help you. Listen to me ... BIOS passwords are stupid ... they serve no purpose ... they are defeated by removing the battery on the mother board. Anyone can beat this password simply by removing the battery. There in no legit puprose or reason to set this on YOUR personal computer! The ONLY PLACE they serve a purpose is in the corporate world ... where the boss says DON'T MESS WITH YOUR COMPUTER SETTINGS ... (because he put in special settings for his corporate use - and he will KNOW immediately if you messed with the battery because your computer will not work) ,,, then you are fired. So IF this is your computer and you set the stupid password, remove the battery wait 30 seconds and replace it. If this is NOT your computer, remove it and get ready to look for a new job. Don't set the stupid BIOS password feature on YOUR personal computer, ever! Thanks for visiting FixYa.com

Is a internal battery who store password and some boot config. needs some hand work. needs a tecnician.

Remove/disconnect the RTC-battery which is used for buffering the BIOS.

- Unplug AC, take out the main battery;
- take out the RTC-battery for app. half an hour (the period of 5 min as specified in the docs normally is not long enough);
- reconnect RTC-battery;
- plug in the AC adapter (battery still removed).

is the file who can help you.

2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 48).
5. Remove the real-time clock (RTC) battery (see RTC battery on page 68).
6. Wait approximately 30 minutes.
7. Replace the RTC battery and reassemble the computer.
8. Connect AC power to the computer. Do not reinsert any batteries at this time.

Password solution for hp laptop

Every laptop has a different configuration and hardware setup so knowing what your brand and model is helps. Unless your computer is part of corporate inventory there is no reason to set a bios password. Check ebay for bios password as there are store fronts that can help you unlock it for a fee. Some places require you to send the machine in as it can be complicated to reset this security feature. If you want security then buy a notebook lock and put a power on, user and screen saver password but never enable a bios password.

How can i make partition in my hp6510b.

Most warranties won't replace unit until after the 3rd time, but check the fine print on your warranty. Best buy usually wont replace until the 3rd repair. Circut cities extended warranty is a joke.
