Greetings bigdaddyjr,

You can find the start of instructions for changing your resolution on page 52 of your instruction manual. I found a copy of your users guide at the following link with Samsung:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/download/supportDownDetail.do?group=&type=&subtype=&model_nm=HP-S4253&language=&cate_type=all&mType=UM&dType=D&vType=R&cttID=921348&prd_ia_cd=02010200&disp_nm=HP-S4253

I hope this helps.

Thank you,

Dort

If you tried hooking each unit up one at a time without the box and they work either a setting on that box is wrong or there is a problem with the box.

make shure that the computer is set up to display on the screen. To check and see right click on your desktop, click on the option that says screen resolution, and then change your settings from their. The tv will not register that you have a computer plugged into it if the computer is not sending the tv a signal.

How do I get my pc connection to work on my samsung plasma tv? the pc option on the menu setup is greyed out. please advise.

most need to have a pc hooked up and the desktop extended to the tv before it will ungray
some will only handle 640x480 even if its a 720 or 1080 tv. right click on your desktop and go to properties or display settings. then click the box that tells it to extend and set it to a low resolution to start. then you can select the input. . then try upping the res to see what it handles.
