ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

How do i transfer my pictures from phone to computer?

If your photos are stored on the SD memory card, remove the memory from your phone and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connet the USB memory card reader into the USB port of a working computer. The computer will see it as an external storage device, open the photo/image folder on the memory card and copy the photos to a folder on your computer.

I want to delete maps from my Garmin Nuvi 1450 LMT to make room for different country maps. How would I do this? I have been looking for answers online and in manual for hours now with no luck. Please...

    • 1 Remove the SD card from the Garmin GPS.
    • 2 Insert SD card into your computer's card reader.
    • 3 Open the "My Computer" in either the desktop or the start button.
    • 4 Double click the SD card folder to open it.
    • 5 Hold "Ctrl" on your keyboard and left click on all the map files in the folder. Once they are all highlighted, right click and select "Copy."
    • 6 Go to your desktop, right click and select "Paste." You have created backup copies of the maps in your Garmin GPS. Return to the SD card folder via "My Computer."
    • 7 Select the map file you wish to delete, left click it once and press both "Shift" and "Delete" on your keyboard.
    • 8 Return the SD card into Garmin GPS. Turn it on. Check the screen to see if the right map has been deleted. If any mistakes are made, simply start over from step 1. Replace any map that has been accidentally deleted.

    • OR Insert one end of the USB cable into the USB port on the Garmin. Insert the other end of the cable into the USB port on the computer.
    • 2 Click on the desktop "Start" menu, and chose the "Computer" folder.
  1. 3 Right-click on the Garmin drive folder, and select "Open." Some Garmin GPS devices (e.g., Nuvi 200 through 800 series devices) will have the map files stored here. Browse this folder for maps you want to remove, right-click on the file and select "Delete." If no map files are available, go to step 4.

  • 4 Double-click to open the "Map" folder.
  • 5 Right-click on any map file that you want to remove, and select "Delete."

How do I download my pictures from my Sony camera to the computer?

Here is one instructional video tutorial from Sony Support; also could try this procedure:
    - Take off your memory stick from your camera and insert it into your memory stick adapter. Open your camera's battery case and gently push the memory stick until you hear a faint "click," then remove it from the camera. Place the memory stick inside the adapter that comes with your camera.
    - Insert the adapter into your computer's memory card reader, if you have one. The adapter, which is larger than the memory stick itself, is approximately the same size as an ordinary SD memory card.
    - Connect your Sony digital camera to your computer using its USB cable if you can't find or don't have a memory stick adapter. Insert the small end of the USB cable into the camera. Insert the wider, flatter end into one of your computer's USB ports.
    - Click "Open Device to View Files" to open your memory stick or camera. Search for the DCIM folder and click on it. Navigate through any photo subdirectories you've created and highlight photos you want to transfer to your computer. Right-click anywhere in a given folder, then click "Copy." Go to the location where you want to store your images, then right-click within that folder. Click "Paste" to transfer your images.

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).

I CANNOT DOWNLOAD PICTURES FROM MY CAMERA TO MY COMPUTER

Does the camera show up as a removable drive on my computer? You do not need some software to do it like most people think. If the camera is not recognized at all and does not show up under my computer then let me know.

When I attach my usb cord to my camera and computer nothing is happening.

It could be your battery is depleted. Charge it and try again. Or the card was not pushed in properly into its slot. Try another USB port.Restart the computer with the camera and USB attached. If these measures (and others that others may suggest) fail, try taking the card out of the camera and use a card reader with a USB instead of the camera. Insert the card into the reader and the USB into the computer, In that case the photos should appear here: Start/My Computer/ where you will see the various volumes C: , and maybe others, and your camera card perhaps as D: or E: Click on that and other folders inside until you see your photos. You can then select them and paste them to a folder of your choice. Good luck.

    Will not boot up

Machine powers up rigth? Ok I have came same problem a few, this is what I do.
I remove the HDD , Do this if you have original cd rom sets for recovery and OS. Get USB external and connected to another computer. First I delete all the folders, even recovery. Then Format the HDD at USB external position.
Remove it, Re-insert to the laptop.
I open CD rom with needle, Where ther is small hole just insert pins it opens.
Put first disk. close it and start your computer. with luck you will get the screen to load your original recovery. This will delete all your files and documents. cause you are installing like new HArddisk so make sure you understand the procedure, It is your own risk.
If you wanted to save some files You may access them by USB external and copy them as folder to your host computer to transfer later.

When i put my r4 into my ds its just says cant find menu?

hi it sounds like a software problem. follow the following instructions. Please can you try and reformat the 2gb micro sd card in your pc and copy firmware from the CD back onto the 2gb micro sd card following the instructions below. be warned that formating will remove even the games from the card so make sure you have a backup of the games saved to your computer. any saved games will also be erased.

To format the 2gb micro sd card
    1. Insert sd card into usb stick and into usb port.
    2. Close autoplay screen if it appears.
    3. Right click on removeable drive. (Eg D, E, F or J etc) that appeared on screen in computer window.
    4. Left click on format in menu and when format window appears, tick quick format box and select ok. This will erase all content on the sd card and remove any corrupt firmware.

    To reload firmware
    1. Insert cd into pc cd/dvd drive.
    2. Open cd drive on screen and copy and paste the files and folders from the system/english 1.18 folder on the cd to the removeable drive that the usb and micro sd card are in. The folders that you will copy are "_system_" and "moonshl" and the files will be "menu.dat" and "mshl.nds".
    3. Once copied, check removeable drive to ensure files and folders have copied over.
    4. Remove usb stick from pc and insert sd card back into R4. R4 menu should appear on DS screen.
this normaly sorts this out. paul

HELP ME ASAP! camera problems uploding pictures

I never use the computer hook-up programs/equipment that
    come with a camera.
What you should try is a Card Reader Thumb Drive.
I recently bought one for SD cards at Office Max for about $12.
All you do is remove the card from your camera, insert it in the
thumb drive, plug the drive into a USB port, and take it from there.
A window will open up on your computer showing a folder named something like "DCIM". Just double-click on this folder
and you'll see a list of the pictures on the card.
    Good luck!
