The portable AC units have a limitation when it comes to cooling a larger area, Since the unit is meant mainly to be focussed to an area it cannot be compared to the split unit or the window unit where we have the heat exchange exitting into open air. In the indoor unit the heat exchange also happens inside the room contributing to the reduction of efficiency. i would like to advice you to keep the unit closer to the exit or window. try to reduce the area by a false curtain and see if the result is good. Also make sure your filter is clean and the water is drained off.
If this makes a diffference reduce the thermostat settings to allow it to shut off and start again to prevent blocking. The AC should work bettter. Good day

My NOMA NF-100 works good but not that good. It is in a small room but the temperature never goes below 89F. it was a used one and I cleaned the filter

First, I'm not a Noma Tech.
* According to the specs. This is a 10,000 BTU stand alone air conditioner.
* Very few reviews of this model. Also it may be discontinued(?)
* Here is a chart (at bottom of web page) for recommended BTU for the room size; https://www.homedepot.com/c/air_conditioners_HT_BG_AP
* Okay, you did not give the room size, window (glazed, double pane), Roof (open or ceiling tile).
* Are there any 'heating' appliances in the same room? Oven, stove, water heater, space heater, Clothing Iron, Refrigerator, Freezer? All these appliances give off heat when operational.
* Stand alone Air Conditioners work in several modes. By itself; Removes heat by transfer to another form like water. This water needs to be removed or drained for the unit to keep working. Drying out the humidity in the air helps "cool" down by removing heat and transfer of heat through the air.
* Another mode is just to pull heat from the air and transfer this heated air to the outside using a duct or tube that exits out the room through a door or window. The exit area must be sealed or warm air will blow back into room. Openings also allow "other" sources of warm air to seep into room.
* Transfer of heat to the outside must be free of obstructions. The tube or duct must be kept short and have no sharp bends that will slow down the air flow. Also long tube runs tend to heat the air around the tube. Spilling more heat into the room. Tube should be free of leaks or holes.
* If your room is within the specified rating of you device but your still having problems then it's probably the unit.
* Final, Check your warranty and call for service.

Does this model shut off automatically when the desired room temperature is reached or does it function on a low medium high type of thermostat that continuously runs? IR 3 0 p m d g - 1

if it is an inverter type air conditioner ( make not indicated) the unit runs continually but the compressor delivery is reduced thereby reducing the load on the motor
as the room warms up again the compressor starts to pump more gas to keep the room at the desired temp setting
older types shut the compressor down and restarted when the high temp was reached

We installed a mr. heather IR30LPT, set the fan to auto and the control to #1, however, the unit runs continuously without shutting off. The room is less that 1000 sq. feet. Can you tell me why the unit is...

THERMOSTAT CONTROL OPERATION
FOR IR20LPT / IR30LPT: The thermostatic control used
simply turns on and off the burner.
FOR BF20LPT / BF30LPT: The thermostatic control
used modulates the flame size as the temperature gets
closer to set point, then it turns off the burner upon
reaching temperature.
The burner will cycle back on when room temperature
drops below the set temperature. The control knob can
be set to any heat level between 1 and 5. Selecting the
HI setting will cause the burner to remain on.
Note: The thermostat sensing bulb measures the
temperature of air near the heater cabinet. This
may not always agree with room temperature
(depending on housing construction, insulation
location, room size, open air temperature, etc.).
Frequent use of your heater will let you determine
your own comfort levels.
The LED temperature indicator measures approximate
room temperature around the heater.
Note: The LED temperature indicator DOES NOToperate with or control the thermostat setting of the
heater.
IF YOUR UNIT IS NOT TURNING OFF IN POSITION 1 BUT THE TEMPERATURE AROUND IT IS HIGH THAN THERMOSTAT IS STUCK AND YOU HAVE TO CHANGE IT OR VISIT SERVICE.
1-5 knob has no info what is the parameters of temperature sorry!

Teco Split air on will not heat the room

Are you sure it's a heat pump type? If so, there is a valve in the outside unit that may be stuck or not getting power from the pcb. Give it a tap and see if it changes over

For Samsung Air Conditioner AW25ECB7 how long should compressor on/off cycles last with outside temp 80 to 95 degs f.?

Hi,
That depends... the relationship between the size of the unit and the load...meaning size of the room and heat gain...are always variable, so there is no way to tell you what you are asking...
If the unit is too small for the amount of space or the room is poorly insulated then the unit may never shut down...

Where can I get a manual for my Emerson Quiet Cool Room Air Conditioner? Not sure the model, but these #s were on outside of box: 10DC93 784040B OE21M N14421, is on a little sticker on the right...

Let see if I can help. The numbers don't come up so we'll just try your information.

Exhaust - should be closed when using for Air Conditioning
Energy savings turns the fan off with the compressor when set for Air Conditioning
Fan Only means just that (no Air Conditioning)

Fan speeds Quite same as low, Norm same as medium, Super same as High
Temp settings, what the thermostat senses before cycling compressor.

Can i us a wall mounted air conditioner to build a small cool room for chilling lamb

Hi, correct me if i am wrong, but you want to use a wall mounted a/c to chill Lamb or other foods? Well, air conditioners are considered De-humidifiers, and medium temp. units, so if you cleaned out this room and put in the right materials on the walls and ceiling, you would have to maintain a safe temp 38*F and use this product as I am not sure what the shelf life would be? Check the sq. footage and get a unit more than large enough to maintain this temp. I know on a walk-in Refer, health inspectors want these boxes to be maintained at 38*F, and you can't accomplish this without modern refrigeration equipment. To chill it for a short time, maintain that temp and keep for you're own use.
Sincerely,

Carrier heat pump: aux heat does not seem to work

The unit is probably to small for theare you are trying to heat.

When the Aux HT light came on that meant the heat pump could not keep up with the demand for heat. (Probably due to extreme cold, or undersized unit.)

If yu have heat, then at least one heat strip is operating. If you have multiple heatstrips, one or more could be malfuncioning.

Or it could simpy be to cold/to small fr your area and not able to keep up.

How many square foot are you trying to heat?
What is the outside temp?
What is the inside temp?
What size unit (BTU output) do you have?
