Try pressing stop or cancel button for 10 full seconds. If this does not work, unplug the machine for 10 minutes. While unpluged, press and hold cancel or stop but for 10 seconds, then plug machine back in. If it still does not work, test the door switch with an ohmmeter to make sure the door switch is not faulty.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. This issue can be either due to a faulty door latch or door lock switch which is not engaging itself. If the door latch will not engage the dishwasher will sense it as open door and will not start the cycle. The light also blinks when the dishwasher detects a no-fill condition. Also check the fill valve. I'll also suggest you to check the detergent dispenser solenoid for this issue. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

If the green/clean light flashes, pauses, and then repeats,
the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase and it stops working
and locks the functions (clean light flashes, all buttons are non responsive). To
resolve this you’ll have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and
    press these buttons in sequence...

    -high temp wash

    -heated dry

    -high temp wash

Hi Rylee, thanks for your response, all the lights are constantly lit, ie. none are 'flashing', the washer has worked perfectly upto the incident of the child opening and closing the door during a normal wash cycle, I've tried the 'cancel program' procedure as per the handbook all to no avail, all the lights remain lit....???

just a comment on your last suggestion re: button pressing sequence, I cannot do this because when the door is shut the buttons are inaccessable (built in unit model).... any further suggestions would be appreciated....... thanks Jack.

Hi Jack thanks for your reply. You can try to
reset it by unplugging the unit from the power socket and mains and let it be
seated without power for more than ten minutes. Now re-place the plug into the
power socket and mains and switch it on. If still the issue is not resolved then remove the
control panel and blow air on it. If this works then it might have been caused
due to moisture in the board. If it won’t work then the control panel should be
    replaced.
    Please do accept
the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

    Thanks

Light stays on in De Dietrich oven DOD438 all the time. It is in the lower oven. Stays on whether door is open or closed. Oven is new since May 2007

I too have just had this problem. The door switch (top right corner) is broken and the oven thinks the door is always open. Chances are it won't heat up either.

Leak from a De Dietrich Integrated Dishwasher has caused 3 red lights on the left of the Control Panel to flash and also a Blue Light on the right hand side of the Control Panel to flash. On resetting...

Pull the built in unit out and tilt towards the rear right leg and the water will drain on to the floor. The Dishwasher then restarts but the anti flood sensor will reactivate after 2-3 more washes. Do not know final fix yet.

Hello bckp,
Welcome to Fixya

If your dishwasher does not run or stops during a cycle

Is the Start/Resume indicator flashing? Opening the door or
interrupting the power stopped the cycle. Close the door and
press START/RESUME.
Does the Start/Resume indicator flash 3 times when you
press START/RESUME? The dishwasher is waiting for you to
open the door after the last cycle. Open and close the door,
then press START/RESUME.
Is the door closed tightly and latched?
(NOTE: On models with a dual-digit display, the control
displays “- -” during a cycle if it believes the door is not
latched.)
Is the right cycle selected? Refer to the “Cycle Selection
Charts.”
Is there power to the dishwasher? Has a household fuse
blown, or has a circuit breaker tripped?
Has the motor stopped due to an overload? The motor
automatically resets itself within a few minutes. If it does not
restart, call for service.
Is the water shutoff valve (if installed) turned on?
It is normal for certain cycles to repeatedly pause for several
seconds during the main wash.

If the dishwasher will not fill

Check the overfill protection float that is able to move up and down
freely? Press down to release.

Let me know if any of these procedures helped you?

Kitchenaid dishwasher KUDS02SRSS2 start light blinking won't start

I have this same kitchenaid model. It would not start after selecting the wash cycle and pressing start. The light would blink as if the door was open. I did the reset by pushing the sani-rinse, heat dry, sani-rinse, heat-dry and closing the door. You can hear something going on inside. After that stopped (about 3 minutes). I was able to select the wash cycle, press the start, close the door, and it started. Good luck!
