Open Question

DVD discs won't read in my Pioneer DV-400V

I put a disc in the drive and it tries to load but does not and eventually says 'no disc'. It doesn't seem to spin on drive.

To switch your Pioneer DV-400V DVD player back to an interlaced video mode after selecting a progressive scan mode and losing picture, follow these steps:

  1. Switch everything off.
  2. Switch the player to standby.
  3. Press and hold the Standy/ON button while pressing the |<< button.
This resets your Pioneer DVD-400V player HDMI output format to 480p.

My Pioneer, DV 400 V, is not able to play Pen drives which are 16 gb...its shows its loading....but never loads the pictures... please help..

I'm going to look into that, but it may have an 8GB limit, or you may simply have too many entries...

Ok, here's a limitation, the device has to be FAT16 or FAT32 formatted, if it's NTFS format, it won't be able to read it.

You may have a corrupt JPEG or a JPEG that has something in the encoding it doesn't undrestand
You may have a corrupt MP3 file.

Step 1 - put the drive in your computer, open up my computer, and right click the drive and click properties. Check to see if it's anything other than fat32 format.

Dump the jpegs off the drive (make sure you have copies). This is easier if you right click the folder, and choose sort by type.

if it still is doing the same thing, start eliminating the MP3s themselves by dumping half of what's left on the drive at a time.

Eventually you will track the issue down!

My player will no load. It just started "loading"

Make sure you are using a good DVD. Do not used burned DVDs. Make sure that the DVD you are using works in another player. If this is all being done and still no dice then there are a few other options:
-Has the DVD player been dropped, stored on its side, knocked around?
-Has there been a disc put into the player that had a label or something that would off center it, so once it started spinning with would wobble around?

Anything like this could have knocked the inside laser out of alignment, this would be a mechanical problem that could only be corrected by Pioneer or a technician.

Or, you can eBay is as used, purchase as-is.

My dvd player keep on loading but it end up no

from direct experience, the problem is that the disk does not start spinning by itself - it will if you have the top off and give it a spin to start it ... I don't know what the ultimate solution is though.
