Hello khrisvalerio,

There are many reasons why a laptop could be running slow, usually its a lot of junk that has accumulated over time, fragmented HD, HD errors, viruses, etc.

The first thing to do is to empty all the contents of the TEMP folder. One way to do this is to open Internet Explorer, Click on Tools > Internet Options > General Tab > Under Browsing History, click the delete button.

Next, you can click on My Computer icon in desktop, right click over C: drive and in the General tab, click on the Disk Cleanup button. After this, go to the Tools tab and under Error Checking, click the Check Now button. Once that is done, go to the section below, which is Defragmentation and click that button. This may take a while, depending upon the size of your hard disk.

I would also recommend you do a full virus scan with your AntiVirus software with the latest updates. All this should help you get the PC going faster.

2. SpeedUpMyPC 3

Laptop computer runs slow


Mostly laptop runs slow issue occurs due to broken Windows registry entries. Fixing registry will help you to boost up your laptop. Day time all is good . after 5:00 or so it is very slow **** mostly no signal at all.


Your internet? if its your internet than you need to talk to your provider. If it is your laptop then you must have a program taht auto-starts at 6. I suggest you look through all your processors and make sure you aren't running a ghost image program which slows down your computer.

The vaio runs slow when trying to get to the


download and install Tuneup utilities and fine tune you pc for registery errors. use all the features available there for speeding up the laptop.
You can even speed up / optimise your inetrnet connection there.
chose the correct speed depending upon the max speed provide to you by your service provider.

And how much memory do you have in your PC? Because if you have only 1G and you're running Vista... here's your answer...

My laptop is very slow...


1st off - do a restore on the computer to bring it back to factory settings. This will clean it up and speed it up as well. 2nd you need more ram . Ram is very cheap and Vista needs lots of ram to run.

My laptop is goin really slow and i dont know why. i downloaded my favorite game world of warcarft and it was fine but now everthing on my laptop including world of warcarft is goin realy slow please help...


Did you install many more things after you downloaded the game and before the game had gotten slow?
Sometimes games take a tremendous amount of resources from the computer, and anything else that can be running in the background such as anti-virus software can really bog the system down. If you game crashes to the desktop, this can be a sign that other programs are running and taking up to much of your resources. If you game plays fine, and then slows down after a few hours, and only a reboot will speed it up, than this can be a lack of RAM. I would suggest that you start by turning down the frame rates, and details on the game and see if this helps. Generally, games have the options to do this from the main menu. If this doesn't work, I would suggest that you turn programs off that aren't needing to continually run on the computer.

Laptop boots slow


Hi,

A couple of reasons why any PC will boot slowly:
1. slow processor, low memory, slow hard drive;
2. too many programs starting up. Pls try goto Start, Run, in next small window, type "msconfig" less the quotes, OK. In next window, click on the "Startup" tab, un-check everything (except perhaps your anti-virus or anything else you think is important). Click on buttons, Apply and then OK. If for some reason you would like to return some programs back, you can always go back and check them.
3. it would also be of great help to check for any possible virus or malwares (download , install and run Ad-Aware).

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
