Just had F5 blockage warning on hotpoint aqualtis. Removed front panel on the bottom and unscrewed filter, cleaned and replaced. checked all outlet pipe was clear. Laid washing machine on to its back and removed black pipe from pump and checked and finally removed the other end of the pipe that joins to the drum. large ball acts a valve and a missing sock was found in the drum end! replaced all parts and washing machine works a treat! before the f5 warning the machine leaked from the door on a couple of occasions, no problem since and may have been a build up of water finding its only way out.

Also if your machine is newly fitted and the waste pipe on your walll is not high enough it will cause the same probleb as the pump will fail to form a syphon. Probably worh checking. Minimum height is usually mentioned in theinstruction manual.

The quickest way to change the display output settings is to use the
display hot key (Fn + F5):
1 Press Fn and F5 simultaneously.
2 While holding down Fn, press F5 repeatedly until the setting
you want takes effect. Briefly pause each time you press the F5

Why vga fails to display when you connect t acomputer?

Display is working on internal monitor of laptop?

Then the problem is;

There are at least 3 display options available;
1) Internal monitor of laptop ONLY

2) Internal monitor of laptop AND external VGA monitor

3) External VGA monitor ONLY

Press, and hold down on the Fn key, and at the SAME time tap once on the Display Toggle-Over key.

Which key is that? Dunno.
Laptop manufacturer name, and model number was not stated.
Model number is on the Bottom of the laptop.

It will be one of the F keys at the Top.
F1 through F12
F4 for HP or Compaq
F5 for Acer
F5 for Toshiba
F8 for Lenovo/IBM

Usually has a monitor icon on the F key, (Looks like an empty rectangle, with rounded corners); and an arrow off to one side.
Still no?
Hold the Fn key down again, and tap once more on the Display Toggle-Over key.

Machine goes through the wash cycle then stops before it rinses and spins . Machine displays F1 OR F5 which indicates an error has occured , have to empty manually but cant get it to spin at all .....

F1 is usually a low water code.Check your hoses and water supply inlet screen for any bulid up of dirt or sediment.
Also the water inlet valve may need to be replaced.

F5 is a water temp fault.Possible bad heating element or thermostat.

The F1 code could be causing the F5.
Due to low water.

I have a hotpoint aquarius wmf740 that is showing a fault f--5 and wont empty out the water

Something wrong the pump would prevent the machine draining and generate an F5 code.

Oven wont come on -I get E1 F5 on display.

Self clean latch will not lock

If door not latched:

A. Disconnect power from unit.
B. Check wires and connectors from control to latch switch, then from latch switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
C. Repeat steps A and B for door switch.

3. Measure door switch (door open = switch open small low voltage terminals). Replace switch if defective.
4. Measure latch switch (unlatch = switch open, CAUTION - oven light contacts are closed). Replace switch if defective.
5. If corrections are made in any step, reconnect power to control. Press and hold any key for 1 minute to clear R failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
6. If failure remains, disconnect power and replace control.

Fn F5 key in my Travelmate2310 stopped working

Was Fn+F5 working before? Why do you 'have to use with external display", because LCD no display any more or...?

If non above, you better check from BIOS and chang display to Both LCD and VGA.

If Fn+F5 was working before but not now, could be something else wrong... I need know more details....
