Re: I need help putting my cd player in my car
Double check your wiring. You have your yellow wire (constant) running to your cigarette lighter. Red wire (accessory) running to your hot wire, and your black (ground) wire running to the black wire in your dash or a metal bolt? Definitely check where you have grounded the cd player. May not have a good ground. Normally the case. Let me know if you need anymore help.

Any after-market CD player needs voltage on the yellow wire and on the red wire before it will turn on. The yellow wire is for a constant power source, and the red is for a key-switched power source.
When you hook it up to your battery using only the yellow wire and the ground wire, it's similar to having it in your dash without turning the key on; ie, it will load and eject, but won't power up and play with the key off. Turning the key on sends voltage to the red wire.
I have the same prob with mine right now and thats why I came here was to find the manual.
In the manual it states that that when something like this happens you need to hold two buttons for a few seconds and what it does is it resets the cpu in the deck.
I had to do it before and yes I was kind of leary of the solution also but IT WORKED!!
Now I'll have to dig before posting this otherwise I didnt just create a common solution I talked about it.
Ok while holding power/ATT press eject for more than two seconds,
and it says careful not to drop the cd~~~DAAA
Or to reset the unit: While holding SEL (select) press power/ATT
for more than two seconds and that will reset the unit to factory
And this was actually from my owners manual of which I found...
