If you cannot access your modem setup page there reason for that is you modem is not giving IP address to your computer , try to PIN first the ip address of the modem from command prompt type PING 192.168.0.1 and if its not replying do a power cycle shut down all the devices and then try to Ping again.

Sir, to get into your modem config page, type in the address bar any internet explorer : 192.168.1.1
It will promt for username and password, by default both the value are : "admin". Status meter in the sense, you didn't specify which status meter. Once you login to the modem config page, you can see the status meter in that page.
If 192.168.1.1 not worked, try to get your ip address by going to www.whatismyip.com
and type that ip in the address bar and enter the username and password and login to your modem. Thank You.
