You type on internet b rowser 192.168.1.1, and ask you to enter the user and password , both are admin and enter. if it did not work go through router manual for configuration you will ip address for configuration if necessary restart the system

Ask your ISP to give detail of network, sometime your IP (internet) may be dyanamic in that case you can not assign any value, stick with their configuration

To get an ip address from your router you have to setup the router from http://192.168.1.1
You should already have an ip address setup though.
You need to contact your DSL/cable provider and get access to their website to setup your account information to access the internet. Then you have to setup your wireless connection if you are needing to do so, let me know.

When i try to connect any kind of laptop to my, belkin 397f but it will only say limited acess with no internet but it will let a wii, dsi, and ipod touch connect

Check these options :
- Check that you ebtred the Wireless key correctly.
- Check that a DHCP server is configured. otherwise make your laptop ip addresse the same as the Wii ip adresse, just change the last number by increasing 100, ane make the other parameters the same, (mask, gateway, dns server). it has to be only one different ip adresse for each equipement.
- Check the laptops doesn't have a fixed ip addresse.
- Check that your Berlkin is not protected with MAC addresses.

when enabling wireless security the router and adapter must be both be configured and configured in a fashion that both support. If you need help provide confirmation of your wireless router's manufacturer and model and the same information for any wireless adapters or computers with built-in wireless adapters to be wirelessly connected.

This will allow us to determine the common security options for all wireless devices you have.

Check all other wireless devices within the range of the router, cordless phones, cellular phones, etc.
Change the wireless channel on the router or possibly the other wireless devices.

2nd: check the Keep Alive setting in the router configuration if you have DSL. Set this accordingly

Belkin g+wireless mimo router

make sure your router is set at the correct transfer speed eg 54MBPS as your pc may only have a wireless adapter that supports 54MBPS as some run at 108MBPS. You may also need to check that the routers DHCP setting is enabled so as to give your pc an automatic ip address and also check your wireless adapter or card properties and on the TCP/IP line click properties again select obtain ip address automatically.
