SOURCE: Door won't open on Samsung washer

This has happened to me twice. Both times I found the drain pump seized up with
1st time) The right rim from a pair of reading glasses
2nd time) A plastic toothpick
Both times the object was in the discharge port of the pump. You can see this by lifting the check valve with the pump removed. Removing the pump is simple. Unplug the washer. You have to remove the drain line from where its attached to the rear of the machine (one screw) to remove the rear access panel which slides into upper and lower slots. You will see the pump with an inlet and discharge line attached. The lines have simple squeeze clamps. When you remove the lines, you will drain the wash basin so have towels and a squeegie handy. Remove both lines and wait until the basin drains. When it stops draining remove the pumps electrical connector by squeezing the release catch on it while pulling it. The connector can only go on one way. Remove the 3 hold-down bolts on the pump baseplate. Remove the pump and lift open the discharge check valve and you'll find something there I guarantee it. Remove with needle nose pliers and re-assemble in reverse order.
This is actually a good design because the computer protects the pump by sensing a higher than normal current draw when foreign debris gets jammed in it. It will trigger the ND (No Drain) code and sometimes lock the door. Always check this first before you call the expensive repair man. If its not a jammed pump it will most likely be the control panel/processor. Good luck and always clean out pockets before loading the washer to prevent this,

SOURCE: door handle of washing machine broken

if clothes are still in washer? and machine has finished cycles? then handle broke so unable to open ??? your best option is to unplug/ and if necessary disconnect water supply hoses then remove the top screws from rear panel which also secure the top panel as you will observe ? then pull backwards top panel and loft off ? you now have access/visual of the door catch inside front machine look?? at the catch and you will see how it locks ? you can lever the catch gently and door opens to fit a new door catch is easy diy and not expensive if you are confident usual problem these break ? is the time delay micro switch sticks with age /moisture try dw40 and work plunger b4 you refit door back after replacing handle/catch assy

SOURCE: WM0532HW LG front loader washing machine displays LE

LE codes are extensively covered in past Fix-Ya solutions, but are generally caused by only a handful of things. 1. the " Load Error " can be a very off balanced load. 2. excessive use of soap leads to too much suds, and thus drag on the inner tub. (use 1 tablespoon of HE soap max. per load) or 3. the Hall sensor (part number 6501KW2001A) has failed. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty. Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble. Usually takes under a half hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 - 10, it might rate a 4. This should be a Fix-Ya for your machine, and at basically no cost!
In the US, find a service provider using your zip code at http://us.lgservice.com/index_b2c.jsp or call LG at 800-243-0000.

SOURCE: Lg WM0532HW washing machine control panel say OE

"OE" means that your drain pump is blocked, or possibly broken, and that water isn't emptying so that the machine can spin. (I think Outlet Error is what it stands for). If you have a wet dry vac, you can use it to vacuum out the water from the drain hose behind the small door on the lower left side of the machine. If not, you can try using a large pan to catch the water, but to be honest, it will take forever and won't really get all the water out. Try to borrow a wet vac if you don't have one.

Next you will have to open the pump trap (the cap thing next to the small drain hose). With the wet vac on and in position, loosen the trap and pull it out slowly (there will still probably be a bit of water in there). Hopefully you will find a bunch of junk in the trap like lint, coins, a sock, whatever... however you may find there isn't anything in the trap. which means we have to go in deeper.

You may just want to get a pro in to do this, but it isn't really all that difficult for the adventurous type. You have to remove the top of the machine (three screws at the back release it so that the top panel can slide back a couple inches and lift off,) pull out the dispenser drawer completely, the control panel (you don't have to disconnect the wires, just pull it away from the frame of the machine so that it reveals the screws that hold on the front panel) Then you have to remove the front panel, which includes pulling off the spring clamp that holds the gasket to the front panel, and the wire which activates the door lock. There is also a screw behind the plastic piece where the drain hose is.

Once you can get to the pump, unscrew the motor on the left side of the pump and remove whatever is blocking the pump impeller from turning... even a tiny nail can do it.

SOURCE: How do I resolve an

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven from the flow into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the dry spin with the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water from the clothes during the spin.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

Make sure that the small plastic feet on the bottom of the machine are all adjusted correctly so that there is no movement on the machine when rocked from side to side when empty.
Adjust by screwing in or out to get the exact level required.

Lg tromm front loader washer wm0532hw shows oe error

that's draining error. check the filter cleanout behind lower left panel on front of machine; of course drain 1st via small drain hose. if thats o.k the drain pump itself may be jammed with debris or the drain hose could be clogged.

Significant water leaks through the bottom on the front side as soon as cycle starts. Already cleaned out the filter and hose from bottom right corner. Any suggestions? LG Model WM0532HW

Check that the door seal hasn't got a split or hole in it. Check between the bowl and the front panel. The water must be coming from somewhere. could be a hole in the outer drum itself or it could be the detergent drawer overflowing.... As a last resort... Carefully take off the top by unscrewing the screws at the rear, bump the top panel back to unclip it and VERY carefully look while the machine fills. DO NOT TOUCH as there is bare wiring...Remember water and electricity make a shocking combination!!! ....Nomess

Fron t Load washer will not unlock

Usually, the door will not unlock because there is water still inside the unit.  You will need to get the water out of the tub to get the door to open.  On the bottom left corner, there is a small door.  Inside the door is a small rubber drain hose.  This will empty out the water inside.  After awhile, the machine will unlock the door.
