Picture is dark

I have a 62 WD-62531. The picture seems really dark. I have to manually raise the brightness to max to get a decent picture.

The problem is that the lopt is loosing power this can be due to a leak. in it there fore you will hear a hissing sound or the lopt is simply past its time. and will need to be replaced ( the lopt is a unit that sends power to the screen or in this case the globes the less the power the duller the picture)

good luck hope this helps

On my WD-60C9 60 DLP HDTV the picture is really dark, colors are still ok but the entire picture is dark

Have you tried changing the brightness and contrast with the picture controls? If that doesn't solve the problem, it's possible the lamp box and lenses in front of the bulb need cleaning.

Mitsu wd 62531 colors are rather dark. Any solutions

check you brightness level , if that does not fix it it sounds as if you may need to replace the bulb, you can get just the bulb or bulb in housing, if you are the least bit handy save the money and just buy the bulb, be sure not to touch the front of the bulb as oils on your skin can damage the new bulb or at the least shorten its life, this is easy to do just fallow the directions in your manual

Mitsubishi WD-62531 Replaced lamp 2 weeks ago. Red light flashing again. Same problem but the lamp is fine. Sound but no picture.

You have either a bad ballast (it powers the lamp) or a bad DMD board. Either one of those will result in a no lamp fire issue. Have a technician look at it...

4) press the RESET BUTTON on front of TV.
