Drain motor not signaled to stop

Getting F02 error, cleaned everything, that is not the problem. What tells the motor to stop? It drains fine but will not shut off. I cleaned the ball float also. Is there a sensor somewhere that tells the machine the tub is empty? I see a wire connected low on the tub in front. It is connected. What is the pressure hose connected to? Looks like I to remove the back panel to see how it connects.

Hi I have the exact same problem. I cleaned the hose that goes into the drain in the wall. How do you get off the hose connected to the back of washer? Thanks Molly St. Louis MO

Nevermind, I fixed it. After all that, it was the "sensor" that connects into the tub in back that the pressure hose plugs into. It was full of undissolved detergent and muck. Removed it, cleaned it and re-installed it. Then ran the diagnostics and passed. Off to wash clothes now...

Why does my whirlpool frontloader stop in the middle of a cycle and read f 02

Repairing the F02 error code can usually be done without ordering parts. Tools needed to repair your whirlpool Duet F02 error code are towels and a quarter inch socket.
Tip the washer back at a 45 degree angle. On the bottom panel there are three or four screws, with the screws removed the panel will slide down and off. With the lower access panel now removed you will have access to the washers drain pump clean out.
With the water already bailed from the washer you can twist the filter head counter-clockwise to remove. Twisting the filter head counter-clockwise will loosen filter so it can be pulled out.
With the filter out clean and install it back into washer.
Run a quick cycle to ensure the washer is back up and running and the F02 error has disappeared. If the error comes back, it may require you to clean the drain pump filter again.
If you require a new drain pump motor, you can purchase the part from the link below.

Suds, F02, clicking sound from drain pump/motor

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F02 is a drain error in your Kenmore washer, if the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display suds and then F02. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter. If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Keep getting an F02 error. Is there a filter that can be cleaned? The hose is not kinked, frozen or more than 96" above the floor.

sugges using Systems Clean Whirlpool Bath Cleaner by Jacuzzi, Inc. ($15 at Lowes). It took three full applications of the cleaner (it comes with five applications), but the F02 error has finally disappeared! Our F02 was the result of using too much HE soap, I believe. Not sure on what other kinds of blockages (e.g., hair) it would work on.

Keep getting F02 code, cleaned all the hoses, cleaned out the trap in the pump. goes through the first part of the wash cycle just fine, get's to rinse and hit the F02. Is the pump bad also keep getting...

"F02" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump

I am continuously getting a F02 error code which stops the wash cycle. When I hit pause and restart it does but then it errors again.

"F02" is a Long Drain error code. This is an indication that you have an obstruction somewhere in the drainage system. In most cases this means there is something lodged in the drain pump or inlet line running from the wash tub to the pump. There is a white screw off cap on the drain pump that you can remove to inspect the pump impeller and clean. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615268-f02_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

Included is a follow-on link that explains how to check the drain pump to clean. You may also have to remove the inlet hose that runs from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the drain pump. Debris and small articles of clothing can commonly clog in this area as well causing the drain cycle to fail.

NOTE: The "SUD" error code can often occur in conjunction with the "F02" error code. This is due to air being detected in the drainage system, which can occur if the pump is not running, or if you have an obstruction BEFORE the pump. You need to remove the inlet hose from the pump to ensure it is also not blocked. Correct your drainage system fault, and the SUD error should go away.

If you have any questions about this repair, or need additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: If these preliminary measures do not correct your problem, you may have to replace the drain pump. It does not take much to damage the pump impeller or motor. Since the error code is generated if the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes, if the pump is damaged and can't pump at the required volume, the error code will continue to appear until the pump is replaced.
