There is an vacuum expansion tank next to the heater core that rusts out also. You will notice that the air stops flowing when the engine is under a load mostly at higher speeds and when you let off of the gas the air slowly starts flowing again. Shop charges over $1000 to repair.

I have 2 e350 vans and had that problem on both. In the rear AC, between blower and heater, there is a flap with a little hook. the hook is broken and the flap doesn't change position anymore. It very easy to fix. the biggest work is removing the panels. go to Ford dealer part and ask schematics of rear ac to locate and replace the part.

I HAVE A CONVERSION VAN FRONT AC BLOWS COLD AIR BUT MY REAR AC IS BLOWING JUST HOT AIR.

Once again, it could be the temperature doors not operating correctly on the rear hvac module.

2003 Ford Expedition blowing hot air only. Is it a leak or major problem. Also there is a clicking noise in the back rear when you put the ac on

Sounds like your rear actuator for heat and cool is stuck in one position this normally happens when the plastic gears shear down, you will need to change out the actuator. You have two on the rear passenger side, one is for teh hot and cold and the other is for teh upper and lower air

2003 ford van e350 rear air vent is not blowing

Try this article. I have the same problem and I think it is the vacuum motor that controls the door for changing from hot/cold in the rear heater box (located inside behind the L rear wheel)
