I want to stop a message that comes on my screen everytime I want to play a game "automatic adjustment in progress best mode" my monitor is HP 22kd display

Hello!
On your HP monitor go into your settings after it has shown the message. Copy down the settings that it changed to. Next, disconnect the display from your console/pc. Change the settings to what it keeps adjusting to, then reconnect your device. It should detect that it is using the correct settings now when you go to play a game.
Hope it helped!

Auto adjust in progress

1. Push the menu button at the front side of your Dell monitor. The icon looks look like a miniature version of your monitor.

2. Push the menu button again. This will exit the monitor menu and launch the OSD (On-Screen Display) menu.

3. Use the down arrow button on your monitor to select "Factory Reset."

4. Push the menu button.

5. Use the down arrow button to select "All Settings." Press the menu button to save changes.

6. Push the menu button twice to exit from the menu. Your Dell monitor will go back to its factory settings default, and its auto-detect feature will be disabled.

Maybe a loose connection, a bad cable, or a bad video card. I'd try the monitor on a different pc or even a laptop. Should give you an answer as to what's wrong. With the laptop, reboot it with the video cable attached.

Auto adjust in progress, want it removed

Your video card or monitor sounds like it might be malfunctioning. Have you tried another monitor? Does it show anything on the screen after turning on the computer? If it does then goes to "Auto Adjust" then try restarting and pressing F8 over and over until you get a menu. Then select VGA Mode. Change the screen resolution by right clicking on the desktop and clicking "Properties" then the "Settings" tab. Use the slider to lower the resolution and then restart.

Auto Adjust in Progress

Disconnect the monitors plug. Unplug the power cord. You may not have to do both, but it reset mine and it works fine now.

It flashes auto adjust in progress. If I push one of the buttons on the monitor nothing happens

I don't understand what you are trying to say here.
If you mean the unit display's a message when you turn on the unit and goes out directly, thats a cammon problem.
The unit has several caps and 4 transitors which will need to be replaced.

Dell E196FP TCo99 Monitor screen problems

The screen colour changing is apparently an auto test procedure on the monitor and was prompted by a fault with the monitor not automatically shutting down when the computer is shut down. The settings on the monitor have been adjusted to rectify this and the problem is now gone.
