Question about Apex Digital HT-150 System

1 Answer

Until 3 days ago I turned it on with its remote then turned on the non-cable TV with its remote. Now I can't turn the Apex red light to green. All of the connections are snug and there is no change in the power source. The TV comes on and I can change its channels with its remote but I don't get any network or PBS stations as before--only the local non digital Latino ones. How can I get the Apex to do its job again?

First of all try the reset.Unplug the unit from all the wires connected to it .Even the power wire.Remove all wires. Then wait for 2 minutes and reconnect all wires like it were before.also check the wires if they are getting short or cut in between or got loose from its connection. then reconnect and check.if still the same problem then,The unit is shorted out.In the unit there is a board. This board is called main board. There is other board called power board.the power board is functioning but circuit board is got short. It has to be checked with meter. On this main circuit board there are many tiny components. If any of the one goes short due to overheating or loose connection or power surge or major electric failure or over load of electric then this components gets fail.so the unit receives power but will remain in stand by mode and not come in to function mode due to shorted main circuit board component. There are many other users facing this same problem. Some get it repaired from electrician. And some who have basic knowledge of using meter and soldering iron try it them-self to replace the component. To get review of other users facing the same problem like yours. Please click on the link below and check http://www.digitaltvconverterbox.com/APEX-DT250 all models dt-250,ht-150,350 are facing same problems.
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

I need the code(s) for a GE universal remote for an Apex TV!

You can try the following codes for your APEX tv:

0214 0216 0215 0401 0156

Here's how to program your remote:
1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
2. Press and release the desired device button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Enter the 4 digit code
Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4. With your device on, press ON•OFF. If the device turns off, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your equipment, try one of the other codes for your brand.

I have an apex ld3249 tv with remote. The remote died a couple of days ago. I have had the tv for 6 weeks. A universal remote will not work. A new Apex remote is $60. Is this going to be an ongoing problem...

Hello
There is no warrantee for the remote control for any company's set. A universal remote should work with your Apex tv. I'll give you the model and codes for the remote that suit to your apex TV. Buy one and match it to your TV.

Codes are:-

I have an Apex Digital TV Converter box # DT250A. Today, all of a sudden my TV screen went greenish and then the picture on my TV went out ( static looking screen ). The light that's on my Converter Box...

The DT250 likely has one or more bad 470uf 25v capacitors. You should replace all four. Look at some of these youtube videos for how do do the replacement.

Order 4 new 470uf 25v capacitors from digikey.com P/N P10274-ND

Use first class mail as your shipping method. Will be under 10 dollars total.

Jumbo Control Code

The codes for this remote are different depending on whether you are trying to control a Sony TV or a Sony DVD player. Please post again with more information, or use the auto-search function of this remote.

To have the remote try each TV code it knows one at a time, follow these steps:
  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button for at least 3 seconds until the red LED lights up and stays lit.
  3. Press the TV button on the remote so that the LED blinks once and then remains solid red.
  4. Press the ON/OFF button slowly and repeatedly until the TV turns off. The LED will blink once each time you press the ON/OFF button.
  5. Once the TV turns off, press the ENTER button to store the code and the LED will turn off.
To program the remote for your VCR, repeat this process starting with turning the VCR on, then follow the steps substituting the VCR button for the TV button.

I hope that helps.

Won't even feed into tv anymore....

If you are using the RF input are you sure the channel on the TV did not change? Make sure the TV is set on Channel 3 (or 4) or use the component (red-white-yellow) outputs if your TV has component inputs available.

I HAVE LOST THE MANAUAL FOR MY PHILIPS MAGNAVOX UNIVERSAL REMOTE

You don't need the whole manual for the Philips Magnavox remote fortunately.

If you want to reprogram it for the Apex TV, follow my directions exactly.

  1. Hold down the Code Search button (on the remote) until the light on it turns red and stays red.
  2. Let go of the Code Search button.
  3. Make sure to switch modes at this point to which device you want to program, I'm going to assume TV Mode since your post says "Apex TV." If you need help with Apex DVD codes, I can answer that one too :)
  4. As you Press the mode button and release it, the light should blink for a bit, so keep your eye on it because after it's done blinking it'll stay red.
  5. At this point the remote want's you to press a sequence of numbers also known as Code[s] or Code Entries. Either way these are what are in a table inside the manual that you lost.
  6. I'm going to give you two codes in case one doesn't work: 044 and 335 (one of those hopefully will work)
  7. If the code worked you'll know right away because the light will get mad and start blinking again, otherwise if it DID work, it'll just turn off (the light will anyway).
  8. That's it, I reccomend you test out your remote with the TV now and make it everything works. If something doesn't, try the other code. If it still doesn't work right, I'll give you some more codes.
Hope that helped,
-Cheers-

Philips universal remote codes

Hi Troysingleto. The code can depend on what model of URC you have. According to a site I found by Googling, the code for Apex TVs on one common URC from Philips is 044. Here are the steps to input it directly:

1. Press and hold the Code Search button until the red indicator stays on. Release the Code Search button.

2. Press and release the desired mode button (TV, DVD, etc). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.

3. Enter the 3 digit code (044) . Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.

4. With your device on, press CHANNEL Up. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your equipment, try one of the other codes for your brand.

If that code does not work, you can still find the code using this manual procedure first posted on FixYa by cptnkirk4064:

1. Manually turn on device to be controlled.

2. Press and hold the "Code Search" button until the red indicator light stays on, then release it.

3. Press and quickly release the desired code button (TV, VCR, etc). The red indicator light should blink once.

4.Press the "Channel Up" button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until thedevice to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator light shouldblink off with each button press. If you accidentally overshoot therequired code, press the "Channel Down" button to backtrack through thelibrary until the device changes channel. Pressing "Channel Up" changesdirection again.

5. Press and release "Mute" button to install the code.

If you wish to actually identify the code once this has been done, this is the procedure:

1. Press and hold the "Code Search" button until the red indicator stays on. Release the "Code Search" button.

2. Press and release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator light blinks and then stays on.

3. Press and release the "Code Search" button. The red indicator light goes off.

4.To find the first digit for the code stored under the mode key pressedin "Step 2" press each numeric key from 1-9 in turn. When the redindicator light blinks off, the number you pressed is the first digitfor the code you are searching for.

5. To find the second digit, repeat "Step 4," this time when the red indicator light blinks off, this is the second digit in your number.

6. Repeat again for the third digit in your code number.

Once I find out the code for my TV or DVD player, I write it on a small piece of paper (make sure to note which unit code is for!) and tape it to the inside of the lid to the battery compartment for future reference.

Best of luck!

If you can still HEAR sound, but can't see. Check your Audio Video Cable.

It's the colorful one (red, white, yellow) (red, blue green, white, red)

Make sure the connections are secure into the back of the TV as well as the connection to the back of the Xbox 360.
