I have a problem with our stove we replaced the fuse cause we thought our front left element heated very low and it still did not work the element still heats low

Yes if it heats at all it would not be a fuse. You do not advise the vintage or make and model so it is hard to advise. It could be the element control or the element that is bad/defective.

Will not start

It's very likely that your heating element is shorted and will need to be replaced. Unplug the dryer and remove the lower front panel. There are 2 spring clips between the upper front panel and the lower front panel. Use a flat screwdriver and slide it over these clips and then pry these clips down to unclip them so that you can hinge the bottom panel down and then off. The heating element is in the bottom right corner inside the silver heating canister. There is one screw coming in from the left holding the element inside the canister. Remove the screw and remove the front panel of the heating canister. Disconnect the wires to the element and then the element will pull straight out. Here is a link to the part.

The main burner (left front) only heats on half the circle.

Your referring to an electric range I'm assuming. In that case the heating element is only heating to a mid-point then stopping. This typically means the heating element is burnt or is partially burned out. The element is usually user replaceable and requires the old one be unpluggude and replaced with a new one. You'll need to get the element from the manufacturer.

How do you replace the heating element in a Maytag PYE-2300

Unplug the dryer cord.
Use a putty knife to release the 2 spring clamps holding the top lid to the front panel. They will be about 2 inches in from the right and left sides where the top meets the front.
Raise the top lid and fold it towards the rear of the dryer.
The heating element will be in the back left corner.
Remove the hi-limit thermostat on top of the element. Remove the element retaining screw and remove the element.
You should replace the hi-limit thermostat also.

Left front element transfering heat to frame. Top side and front of frame are very warm to touch. Should I refrain from using that element until it can be check? Is there a danger of electrical fir

There is usually a door seal around the oven door if its gone or out of place this is most likely the problem. 1 other thing is that Insulation can be moved around (not meaning to offend just stating facts), insulation can be moved around by rodents, or if it happened to get wet it could shrink.

If either of these help you undersatnd and find your problem please rtate me as high as you can. Thank you for using fix ya.

Maytag Atlantis dryer no heat

The heating element and thermostat are located behind the front panel of the dryer. you will need to remove the door, then the retaining screws. the heater / element is located on the left side as you are facing the front of the dryer and has to sheet meta screws (upper back top / and front bottom) which will need to be removed. the unit has several colored wires for the thermostat and switch. remove these (remember which goes where) and the enitre unit will come out easily.

Accessing heat element

You get into the unit from the top. Use a putty knife about 2 inches in from the right and left in the seam on the front of the unit and push in on the spring clip then lift on the top. After that take the front off and work your way down. The heating elements are on the bottom right when facing the front of the unit.
