I am attempting to open the case of the handset to reset the keys to work properly. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to open the case. I have removed to two screws in the case but I do not know how to release the upper holding mechanism. I do not want to force it and break it as a result. How do you open the case of this phone, Panasonic KX-TGA571A. Thanks.

October 10th, 2013 at 9:19 amPROBLEM: After de-registering handset, handset displays [REGISTRATION FAILED; UNAVAILABLE] when trying to register handset. This worked for my UNIDEN TRU-9480-2 SOLUTION: 1) Remove handset from base 2) Remove power cord from back of base 3) Press and hold the [find hs] button on base as you plug the power supply back in; the charge light should then be blinking. 4) Return handset to base and it should register GOOD LUCK!! HOPE THIS HELPS!!
This is issue is quite common on most handsets, regardless of the manufacturer. What happens is that the handset will freeze up, and simply resetting the device will rectify the issue. The first thing that you will want to do is to make sure that the handset is on, and then remove the battery. This is called a hard shock and will reset the handset. Once you have removed the battery you will wait approximately 1-2 minutes and then reinstall the battery, then the cover and then you will power the handset on. Your keys should then be working, and if they are not, then you have something that is going on with the computer board in the device and it may be covered under warranty by the manufacturer if the device is under a year old. If this is the case, then you will want to call your cellular provider to file an insurance claim.
you must remember your e-mail id that u used while regestering wavesecure. proceed as directed, goto this link and enter the name that flashes when you open wavesecure. enter image text and click below.
NOTE Before you do this i repeat the very important point. do this only when you are 100% sure that your recovery e-mail id is correct and working.
if this is not the case then there is only one way left. backup all the data and hare reset your phone. In order to perform a hard reset on your Nokia 5800XM, enter the following key combination
Ensure your handset is turned off then,
Press and hold the, Green key, Red key + Camera Key and press the On button.
The device will then resert in it’s default factory settings with all handset data removed
Open the hand set by Removing battery, remove 2 screws under battery, carefully open handset casing by prying open with thin bladed screwdriver, remove pc board by removing 3 retaining screws, on opposite side of pc you will see contacts for handset buttons clean with eraser and reassemble handset.
If the handsets are not currently registered to any base, the SYSTEM RESET menu won't appear.
If the TCX905 handsets in question are actually expansion handsets from another Uniden Phone System, they are not true TCX905 handsets. To verify, remove the battery cover and battery, then look at the inside label. If it lists the model of a TRU9xxx phone system, your handsets are NOT TCX905.
Uniden unfortunately has programmed the expansion handsets from SINGLE LINE TRU9xxx phone systems to NOT REGISTER against the TRU9466. (Those same handsets register fine against predecessor model TRU8866 though).
i think the keypad sensor is the problem ... if your good at opening then just remove the handset take off the keypad check the keypad is it in good condition or not .. if not you replace with the new one ... & also clear if there is any obstacles in the keypad sensor ... this will solve your problem . it cant be the firmware problem so just do this it will be fixed .. if you are not good at opening then just tap the phone lightly so that if there is any loose contact in the keypad with sensor it may get fixed .... otherwise you must & should open the handset & do it ... if you are afraid then just visit the technician ... it is just a matter of some bucks ... i think you can only do this simple thing by opening...
any doubts reply me
