You will need to check the wireless settings of the router.
If your network is secured then make sure that you are typing the correct network key.
also make sure that the DHCP server is enabled on the router.
is there any computer connected to the router ?
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
Router set up page is the page where you can check all the wireless settings of the router.

Netgear router DN2200/wireless problems.

that really shouldn't hurt it unless it included a pretty nasty fall as he tripped over the cord.

are you certain it still has the correct power cord? i've seen people accidently switch the modem power cord and the router power cord and the router tends to not like that.

good luck

I just got a Canon Pixma MG5370, Im running an XP cp to network thru Netgear N300 then thru DSL, the N300 dangles a Netgear 8 port wired Switch. I cant get the dam printer to connect correctly to print,...

Set a static IP on the Canon printer
e.g.
IP: 192.168.x.x
Subnet mask: 255.255.x.x
Gateway: 192.168.X.1

DHCP should always be enabled on the router for your other devices to work.

How do i turn the wireless on so i can unplug the laptop from themodem

Hi Ray,

I believe there is an ON and OFF switch on the Front Panel of your Netgear N300 Router, push on the button and see if the Wireless light will turn on.

I hope this helps.

Netgear n300 will not connect to internet

There should be a little red button that you can push. It is the reset button. Hold it down for around 10 seconds, and try again.

I have two rj45 points looped with a router and xbox 360 plugged into both but only one will work at a time?

I would figure that you would start with the modem feeding the N300, then connecting the XBOX by cable to the netgear, and then using the laptop wirelessly through the netgear...The modem should feed the Netgear so the Netgear can split the signal...
