Question about Canon i860 InkJet Photo Printer

1 Answer

Can't print color when pictures are in-bedded in other programs

If my JPG is in-bedded in a Word doc. or Microsoft Publisher, when I print the document, the result is horizontal light blue lines through out every 1/4 inch. Printing the JPG directly or printing in black and white...No problem.

I have done deep clean several times. Aligned heads. Unplugged and removed the printer from the computer. Replugged the printer and let Microsoft download the driver. Tried printing my document with in-bedded photos or graphics from another computer to this printer and it does the same lines. My documents print fine in other printers.

I'm getting the message 'cannot continue to print as disk is full' How do I clear the internal memory?

Hi Lucy,

Try this:

Your print job is killing the printer's memory. a couple things to try:
1. disable spooling and print directly to the printer.
this almost never works, but from the control panel, open printers (and faxes) and right click on your printer and select "properties". the radio button to check is under the advanced tab.
2. print to an image first, print to another software printer, like the microsoft document imaging printer. then reprint from the .mdi file that is generated by it.
3. export your file to a non-publisher document.
file save as file type to something other than a .pub file. a .doc might work, then again it might muck up your layout.
a .jpg/bmp would work very nicely for printing.
4. increase the memory to your printer.
this option may not be possible for you.

You need to update your Kodak Easy Share and your printer drivers or try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers .

The reason you are facing the problem is because the present drivers are not compatible with Publisher

I want to scan a photo on epson cx7800 to an email. Also the photo needs to be rotated

you need a photo program like KODAK to publish this to your job site or Microsoft picture publisher. Open the photo program you have --find the 'GET pictures" or load pictures from your scanner. place them in your 'MY Pictures' file on your computer. you will need to resize the picture to a JPG. as this will make the picture smaller in order to send it. Place the picture on your desktop as a shortcut .
when you go to your job site, you wish to send the resume to--you need to attach the jpg. along with the resume..when you get the 'browse' look for your desktop shortcut and click on it. it should place the picture on the bottom of the resume.

How to adjust a picture to the scanner

you need to start by opening your scanning software program, scan a picture into your computer, save it. then if your trying to print it out using a different program like microsoft publisher or microsoft word or most other programs. open that program then go to insert, picture from file, then find the picture you saved and insert it. then you can go to any of the edges and click and mover edges up/down left/right to fit the page.

Thank You,
