Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I have HP Compaq Presario V2000. Last week I was in the middle of an email and the keyboard froze. I turned of the computer using the power button and of course when I turned it back on I received the message to use F1 or F10, however, the keyboard is still frozen so I cannot use the keys. I turned off the power took out battery for a while then tried again, still not luck. Any ideas? Thank you

Best I can think is use a usb keyboard to get online with it and use a program such as Driver Detective to scan and see if your missing some drivers or if MS (this is common) updated to an invalid driver.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Hello,
It seems a driver related issue. I suggest that you install RadarSync into your computer. Scan your computer with it to know which drivers are outdated and you can use the same software to update them to fix the issue.

It may just be a shorted keyboard or touchpad - I would take t to someone who can take it apart and find out for sure what isnt working. Get a recommendation from someone locally.

Try External USB keyboard - If that works -
remove usb kb

Open the chassis and reseat the kb connector. Try again.

If that fixes it, you're set. If not replace the kb.
