Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hi,
Did you attempt to format the player when it is connected to the computer ? If you are not familiar with the format procedure - it shortly goes like this :
1) connect the device to the computer, the same way you do to transfer songs. 2) Make sure you backup all the songs to the computer before proceeding. 2) Go to "My Computer" 3) Right click on the device, then "Format..." 4) In the "File System" selection, make sure you select "FAT". If that's not available, select "FAT32". 5) Make sure that under "Allocation unit size" you choose "Default allocation size". 6) Make sure that Quick Format is NOT ticked. 7) Click "Start" - this may take a few moments, and your player will be cleared of any songs. For the test, try to put a new song that you haven't put before and see if the player detects it.
(If you had problems with the format - it goes like something in the attached video, just pay attention to the options I remarked about)
If that doesn't work, make sure you remove the SD card from the player (if it has any SD card at all).

I was given a used ns-dv2g insignia mp3 and cleared the downloaded material to start anew. Afterwards, the screen says "nand file system fail format file system!! I've tried the solutions posted, but to no...

You may reset the unit by inserting a pointed object, such as a paper clip, into the reset port on the bottom of the unit. A copy of the owner's manual will help identify the location of the port. I hope this helps.

Insignia mp3 player ns-dv4g File System Fail

NAND is a type of Flash Memory, most likely the internal memory. If it has failed then the mp3 player is dead. If the device is still on warranty, then you may be able to get the retailer to replace it.
Flash Memory is not 100% reliable. Like all storage mediums, it will wear out or deteriorate over time. But it will mean that you have lost everything on it. You have my deepest apologies, but this does happen, if infrequently.

Can u help pls

1) Hold the power button (slider) in the on position for about 15-20 seconds to force the player to turn off, if it's already on.

2) Hold the menu button down and simultaneously hold the power button (slider) to the on position.

3) Do not let go when the device turns on. You will then get a screen message in black and white that reads (with a typo):

WARRING !!!

NAND FLASH MEMORY INITIALIZE......

"WARRING !!!" will appear in red (and probably should read "WARNING". You will have the options of "No" and "Yes".

4) Choose "Yes" to re-format your device.
