Question about Acer Aspire One PC Notebook
I recently yad a trojan AV Security Suite attack on my Acer laptop. I cleaned the virus out using Microsoft Security in Smart Mode. I booted down the computer to restart it normally, however, when I start it, a menu pops up to either 'Start Windows Normally' or 'Smart Mode' as if I had hit F8 upon startup. Hitting both causes it to begin to boot normally, until a blue screen with text flashes and the menu comes back. I have no way to start my computer, so if someone could help, that would be awesome.
Try going to Safe Mode again by hitting F8 to see if the system starts, if so, then Click on Satrt Menu and under Run type: msconfig and hit enter key. A window will pop up and you can go into the startup tab and disable the progam that might be still present. Also go to the Services tab and see if there are any services for which the publisher is not displayed and disable those. Ussually all services that are important to the OS will be Identified as a Microsoft, or any other software Company that created the program. Once your done, then close the window and re-start the system.
I have a question: Which steps did you take to remove the infection? Can you describe them for me?
