If you don't really want to tear into the finished tile, you could repair this units most likely. You will have to shut off the water in the house. Remove all handles. Loosen large nut assembly and unscrew the valve stem. If you remove the valve stems you can purchase the complete assembly at a full service plumbing supply co. If the seats are not removeable, a reseating tool is inexpensive. Replacement knobs are available if they are unsightly. The replacement will require removing tile, drywall, cutting or de-soldering piping. Purchase a new valve and follow directions to install. Home depot sell Price Pfister faucets.

How do I replace/repair the sprayer diverter valve in a Tuscany kitchen faucet?

Do you have a model # ? Normally the diverter will be exposed by removing the spout.

How do fix a/c on 2003 yukon it blow cold then hot than back to cold

A few possibilities:
Stuck or inoperable Air-flow Diverter:
There are tow types of air-flow diverters: Vacuum Actuated and Slide-Cable Actuated (some will have an electric solenoid that controls a vacuum actuated type). In either case the default position of the diverter is "cold air" or closed - blocking air flow over the heater core. Sounds like it may have a vacuum actuated control - when it looses vacuum it will let the air-flow diverter swing shut blocking off air blow through the heater core resulting in "cold air" Could be a bad control/slider, bad or loose hose, or bad actuator. If you remove the blower motor assembly you will be able to see the diverter and might be able to tell the issue is.
Stuck or inoperable heater valve:
This valve controls the flow of engine coolant to/through the heater core. It is normally closed - blocking flow. This can be vacuum operated or cable controlled just like the air-flow diverter. Simple to check - in the engine compartment, to the left of the engine locate the cooling (heating) lines that go into the fire wall - locate the valve and check its operation.
Another possibility is low coolant level in your engine/radiator which may be too low to allow flow of the coolant through the heating coil, although you would likely notice that the engine was over heating/running hot.

Honeywell technical support

This boiler, from memory, has an electric diverter valve.
If the system has dirty (sludge/scale laden) water then the diverter valve may not return under spring pressure, and therefore not divert all of the hot boiler water to the hot water heat exchanger, leaving some going to the rads.
If I am right then the rads will not get fully hot.
If the valve has failed completely, or electrically, then the rads will get fully hot and there will be no hot water output (hot water will be cold).

Have no hot water and spoke to an engineer and said it was the Diverter Valve. Can you tell me where the Diverter Valve is please. Thanks

Never mentioned the model/make, trace the water line which leads to a valve from where it is branched to the hot and cold line valves.
You must trace this out.

I have a FP ecosmart gwl15. The electrical switch on diverter valve will not open to allow water to spin out

This is normal how this diveter works.
Gets hot to divert water over the bowl and cold to pump water down the drain. your machine is working great.

No hoy water coming out on Moen shower faucet?

If you have hot water elswhere in the bathroom but not the shower head then the diverter valve in the handle for the tub is most likely bad and needs replaced. The diverter is also called an anti scauld valve, it mixes the hot and cold water to prevent scaulding you in the shower

Hello. We have a Moen two handle tub/shower faucet. A little over a year ago it started to make a high pitched noise when on. Now the water flow to both the tub and shower are greatly reduced for BOTH...

sounds like the diverter inside the valve body is cloged with debris.

only wat to remedy this is to remove the valve and clean out the diverter, or just replace the valve.

2003 Grand Prix not blowing hot air. Does the heater coil need to be replaced? If so where is it located?

If the heater coil was bad, it would be leaking radiator fluid... probably into your dash/floorboard (depending on where it is installed in your model car). There is a switch that diverts the hot radiator fluid through the heater coil when you want heat. There is also an air diverter valve that helps to mix the hot and cold air. The fluid valve is controlled by the A/C settings control. The one that you use to choose between heater/air conditioner/vent/ defrost. The air diverter is controlled by the temp mixing controller. The most simple explanation is that one of those valves or the controller of one of those valves is not working. If the hot water cant be diverted through the heater coil, the coil can't exchange the heat (warming the air). If the air diverter (hot/cold controller) cant move to add heat, then all you will feel is air from the vent side (from outside) or from the A/C cooling the air.

I would guess that its either a controller or one of the valves themselves. Odds are, it is a controller. That tends to be what malfunctions first.

I have a older Delta shower head/tub combination with scald protection. It leaks from the tub diverter. Where should I start?

I'm assuming that you have a three handle faucet. You need to remove the diverter from the faucet body and while your at it remove the hot and cold stems from the valve body (the parts are inexpensive). Remove the seats inside of the valve body towards the back, replace with new ones. If stems are in good shape, just the washers and seats need to be replaces. If the brass on the diverter or on the hot or cold stems is pitted or marred, then replace the whole thing. The parts should be readily available at most plumbing supply places.
