Question about Hitachi 42EDT41 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
I have an 42EDT41A with great sound but no picture. I took the back cover off and I noticed that the Main Control Board in the bottom of the 42EDT41A had an LED that constantly blinked to indicate a problem. Since I don't have the service manual for the 42EDT41A. I was wondering if you guys could help me diagnose the possible cause. I do know from researching your site that the 42EDT41A has a PCB problem, but no one has yet to state which PCB it could be.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

OK I fixed mine. I took out the new bulb, and on the back side, there is a little tab on the right side of the lamp that should depress the safety switch. I think that once you take out the original bulb, the switch lever is weak and once you replace the lamp, the new one cannot depress the switch far enough. I built up under the tab (with some plastic from a pen pocket clip and some super glue)(after I took off the back of the tv to see what was going on) and it depressed the switch farther. I put it back together, and now it works. Saved a few hundred bucks. Good luck...
