Question about Amana DRS2660B Side by Side Refrigerator
You may have a bad water valve. the valve could be not completely shutting off. when you hear the ice maker begin to cycle open the freezer door and watch it. look to see if the plastic tube coming thru the back of the refrigerator is not leaking after the ice maker has completed its cycle. if it is dripping and running over your water valve is bad.
you may also check the level of the ice maker. sometimes you can be out of level causing a slight leak.

Sounds like the water valve has a small leak and continuously drips water onto the icemaker. Have the water valve checked and if necessary, replaced.

I am assuming you have the ice maker that the tray twists to release the ice. There is a new tray out with a wall to prevent the water spilling over. The part number is

This may sound strange but you will find that the mold coating is peeling off of the aluminum mold. This causes the water to wick (climb) the loose coating and up over the top, leaking out making an ice clump on the ice maker and clumps ice in the container together. It would be easy enough for the average person to replace the ice make. Due to its age that would be smarter to replace than to repair the old one. It is a Whirlpool part #4317943 and comes with some instructions.
If this helped please rate me good, supertechks

Sounds like the water inlet valve to icemaker is leaking - not closing completely after filling the tray. Rare, but possible. Prove it by shutting off icemaker arm or switch. If that is the cause, the drip will continue.
If dripping stops when I/M is off, then it is ice blockage in I/M fill tube and or diverter funnel at end of ice tray. Remove I/M, clean ice from both, and re-assemble.
Replacing that valve (water supply to refrig connects to it in the back) should solve it.

No, a new water valve should solve that problem. The diaphram in the valve is not completely closing.
Very common problem.
