SOURCE: clip light

It sounds like one side of the power amp has shorted. May be hazardous to the speaker so best take it to a shop for repair. If speaker stills sounds OK, probably the clip detector transistors have failed.

Red protection light stays on all time....

try disconnecting one at a time each speaker till the red turns to green. One of your speakers may be bad. Amp is just telling you that its clipping and overheating due to the change in ohms of a shorted or bad speaker. Its also possible the amp is on its last leg due to heat. Heat breaks down electronics part and eventually get worse.

No sound coming out of speakers when turned on

If you get absolutely no sound, not even a pop when changing the standby switch, this probably means the rectifier OR the switch has failed. The red light just means power is getting to the power transformer... probably fuse is OK.

Both clip led light stay on and amplifier is switched on

If the clip lights are on the unit has detected too high an input level. With nothing connected, this indicates a problem in the pre-amp section. Since this happened right out of the box, don't waste time on it. Return this for a warranty exchange.

Red Light

that means you probably have a shorted speaker wire, a bad speaker or the amp itself is bad, try disconnecting the speakers one at a time and see if it turns on or not. if the red light stays on with no speakers hooked up it means the amp is bad

NO SOUND

I am also having a similar problem. I am using a classic 1985-87?? reciever. I dont want to give it up however, i blew a fuse after plugging in an input while the unit was turned on. The system light up and that was that. After replacing the required fuse correctly, everything turns back on. No sound output. no indication of sound off the needles either..

Rt 202 led light red and no sound

With the system turned off, disconnect the speaker wires from the amplifier. Turn on the system. If the light stays red, then the amplifier has an internal problem. If the light turns green, then your problem is a blown speaker, or a speaker wiring issue.

Clip light

A shorted speaker, a pinched speaker wire or a short in the amp, itself. Try to disconnect the speaker wire from the amp. Did the clip light go out? No?? Ok take out the amp and send it to the service center as unless your a tech, there are no user serviceable parts inside as its all solid state. Good Luck
