If you are able try to remove the monitor bezel, and look the connector. Usually is a easy to unplug it.

Hello, My laptop is Satellite M50-MX2, I use recover disk to install, when it processes to 78%, it shows an error #50, read Fault. When I click ok, it shuts down. I can not continue, what can I do?

Hi, welcome to FixYa!

Unfortunately, I fear the worst that your recovery disk is corrupted/broken. If ever see like this before. If you so sure the disk is still in good condition, try to make a copies in your friend's computer.
If it's succeed to create a backup of your disk, then I was probably wrong. You can continue to recover using the backup disk.
If it's failed, then the worst case, you have to buy another recovery disk from Toshiba itself. Go to this site to get another recovery media:

I hope this information will be helpful. Thank you for using FixYa!

Toshiba m50-mx2 powers up okay but no display

when you have the memory in and you boot up does it look like the hard drive LED is flashing? If so then its booting up into windows and that would mean a bad Display. If nothing happens then try a different stick of good RAM and see if it boots up then, if still nothing then it sounds like a bad motherboard.
