when I connect an audio device to either of the front panel audio connectors, the realtek audio wizard won't detect them (autodetect is enabled and back panel works fine). When I set the connected devices manually, the settings will remain until next restart.
already tried intel support, but didn't get any reasonable answer from them (only that I should try to reinstall the software which I had already tried).

there's another solution for this, u can go to http://www.download.com and choose the utilities and drivers icon from the left side, then choose device drivers, then sound and multimedia, and below it u'll find a selection of audio drivers u can choose depending on your chipset and manufacturer, or you can simply type the name of your audio manufacturer in the search bar at the top and press enter to get drivers for every thing that belongs to this manufacturer.

intel hd audio front panel has extra switch/detect hard-wired lines in jack to notify chipset another jack is in use. This requires expensive Intel dongle or make up switches and wiring to select front jack or rear jack manually.
well its not a big problem u just need to re-install ur windows n its not important to detect ur audio devices by realtek just leave it to default settings!
