Question about Bosch Axxis WTL 5410 Electric Dryer

2 Answers

The air in my Bosch Axxis condensation dryer is cold. I've cleaned the heat exchanger, etc., but I see no difference. What could the problem be?

Hello,

welcome to FixYa. I notice you actually posted your problem yesterday, sorry you have had to wait so long. I just saw it recently.

The first thing I would look for, based on your description "The air in my Bosch Axxis condensation dryer is cold" is a tripped hi-limit/safety thermostat.

It is located at the back within`the heater housing, but not very difficult to reset, you just must first remove the heater cover. It will have a small red button in the middle of the disc/thermostat, push it to reset.

If you need further instructions on "how to" let me know.

I have documents I may be able to attach or direct you to when I arrive at home in a couple of hours.

Good luck.

The dryer has a moister sensor installed inside of it to prevent home fires from starting. Any lint build up inside the exhaust tubing will make this sensor to put the heat into the check mode. Disassemble the vent tubing and thoroughly clean the tubes out. If you have the accordian style flex tubing toss it and install new vent tubing. You will get heat if the lint build up was fairly bad

Bosch condensation dryer when on heated dry clothes come out steaming hot not dry

Sounds like something's blocking the hot damp air being removed from the drier. If you are confident enough, go through the drier vent system looking for a blockage. If not get a good DIY neighbour or appliance engineer. Silly question, is the drum turning?

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

You are correct, the unit being a condenser model doesn`t require any additional venting or exhaust to outdoors, that is the purpose of condensing the moisture internally.

As to the issue of air flowing out of the unit I`d suspect perhaps the heat exchange may need cleaning, if it is plugged it will cause the air to be directed elsewhere.

I`ve attempted to attach below the procedure for cleaning, if unsuccessful for whatever reason, too small for example, you or your landlord can email me at macmarkus@live.ca and I can send you the "pdf" guide for your Bosch dryer.

Clogged drain tube on Bosch Axxis condensing dryer

just after having the same problem on my Bosch condenser dryer, remove the top cover by removing the two screws on the rear panel, slide the top cover aft to remove it. when the cover is lifted clear you will see where the drain hose to the collection container is installed, look at the aft l/h corner, you will see a black hose comming up through the corner which attaches to a white plastic end piece which is clipped to the frame of the dryer. Release the clip which hold the white end piece, pull the end piece from the hose, there's a good chance that the end piece is block with fluff etc, blow through from the opposite to clear any blockage, blow through the hose to make sure that its not blocked also. Hopefully this will cure your problem , rebuild in reverse order ----- Hope this helps

Why does my bosch dryer wta 2910 only blow cold air?

If the exhaust vent tubes have never been removed and thoroughly cleaned in years this will cause the sensor to keep the heat off in your dryer. If clean the moister sensor is at fault

the thermostats at the element have to be replaced, they burn out prematurely if the condensor unit is not cleaned on a regular basis.

Water builds up behind heat exchanger

I don't know if there is a cure for this. Bosch never answers my calls or my e-mails, but I have found that by blowing in the hose to disengage the lint collecting there and then sucking out the line will remove nearly all of the build up amd drying will resume.

Bosch WTL5400 Condensation Dryer

We continuously had a similar problem with signals forever coming on after just a few dryer loads. The problem was corrected when we took the back off of the dryer and cleaned the recirculating fan and removed a rubber glove that somehow came through the system and blocked the air flow at the heating element. Low air flow is the same as plugged filter and apparently the computer in our German-made Bosch dryer simply says that. We cleaned the area well, removed all traces of the glove and restored the dryer to operation. We have not had the filter problem since. We routinely clean the heater area at the back of the dryer to maintain our sanity. And we now dry our clothes. Bosch never responded to my query.
