Transforer has three places to hook up wires instead of two

This will be for different output voltages.
Use multimeter set to ohms to test which wires have continuity.
If you connect Hot and neutral to wrong wires, it will burn up the transformer.

Two things, what size and thread screws on the wire connections and are there separate on off cycles for each 300 watt unit if so how do you set them separately \

ML series power pack has 2 sets of A-B-C terminals.
1) The terminals are not on separate circuits.
2) Typically, Intermatic timers have 10-32 screw.

How do i hook up the wires on the back of my malibu low voltage system. reads a b c d how do i split the wires one on a other on b ?

Yes, one wire is connected to the "A" terminal (pick one). The other wire is connected to the "B" terminal. The "C" terminal is not connected to the transformer in any way and is not used (unless you need a connection point for a photo control).

All of my malibu lights went out. At the output terminals of the transformer I measure zero volts with the light wires connected but when I disconnect the light wires from the terminals I measure 13...

Sounds like a short in the wiring. If you have more than one set of wires connected to the unit, disconnect all of them and put them back on one at a time, measuring the voltage each time. If a particular set of wires causes the reading to go to zero, I would trouble shoot that set of lights to see where the problem is. If there is only one set of wires connected to the power unit, I would trace it out to each light and see if you could locate the problem.

How do I do the wire connection to the transformer? i have a single wire leading to 2 up lights. this is a Malibu 200 watt with 3 connectors on the back.

I'm assuming that you have a cord that has 2 leads, similar to a black extension cord. Connect one lead to the farthest one on the left screw, skip the middle screw, then connect the other lead to the right screw. Why they did this might be because they used a standard terminal block on all their product and were too lazy to take out the middle screw.

Malibu Light Transformer ML121RT troubleshooting

1) Disconnect the plug.
2) Remove the 3 hex screws holding the cover.
3) Make a note of all connections (taking a picture is even better).
4) Connect the black power wire to the red transformer wire.
5) Connect the white power wire to the white transformer wire.
6) Set your voltmeter to 20 or 50 volts AC (not DC and not less than 15 volts).
7) Plug the transformer in the wall.
8) Test the voltage coming from the A & B connectors at the back (polarity is irrelevant).
If you see 12 volts or thereabout, the problem is with the little switch (the one with the black and red wires that is activated by the trippers on the clock dial). I have the exact same problem but I have been unable to locate the part so I am going to try to clean the contact points and see if that works.
