A breaker can burn out for a numbe3r of reason.
1) Not properly seated in the panel
2) Loose wiring that causes an arcing action.
3) Wire not sized properly for breaker.

Goodman ac unit ckl30-1l outside unit won't kick on

First check the breaker to the outside unit. some are on separate breakers. If you own a volt meter check top and bottom wires of the contactor . If you have voltage on the top and none on bottom, your coil isn't pulling the contactor in. If this is the case, you are not getting 24 volts to the coil. Check the fuse in the furnace case. Hope this helps.

Goodman ac unit ckl30-1l out unit won't kick on

Three main causes: float switch is activated in the inside drain pan to prevent water damage, Capacitor damaged by power surge, (the top where the wires connect will be puffed up, should be flat.) Low freon switch prevents compressor damage when there is not enough freon to carry the oil.

Goodman CKl30 1d how can I tell if the outside box has tripped off?

look for red reset button.look where low voltage wiring comes in to unit.listen for buzz or hum from outdoor unit when thermostat is calling for heat.if heard, could be high voltage fuse or tripped breaker in panel next to unit.if not cautious electrocution can occur.suggest local service company for diagnosis.

USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN EXAMINING high voltage wiring.

HIGH VOLTAGE SUPPLY. Open high voltage control box and turn off power by pulling dissconnect or switching off breaker.

Goodman ckl30 1d outside unit not working is there a reset button on motor..should I try replacing the capacitor...something still blowing in home but not cold...I never changed a capacitor is it easy?

it probaly is the capacitor you can sometimes tell by the shape of it if it is dished out instead of dished in. you could use a stick to push in the contactor in if the outdoor fan is not running. low freon could keep the contactor from engaging.

I have a goodman ckl30-1l AC unit. The control board for the furnace has went out and I'm trying to find the model number for it. Could someone help me out please?

the best way is to contact Goodman and ask them for the model, in base from the detail that you have. If you have some wiring diagram or instruc. manual you can identify it. if you do not have downloa give your model +mark+serial number and proceed:

Breaker tripping to a/c unit, unplug the fuse in the outside box to the unit and the breaker doesn't trip

You have a high voltage short (most likely) or the breaker is bad.
Turn power off to outside unit and remove service panel.
Look for any arcing or burned wires. Look down in the unit as well for these signs.
If you have eliminated the breaker as the problem and do not see any of the above signs, then the fan motor or the compressor is going to be the problem. More than likely the compressor. This will require replacing the compressor to repair the problem.
Hope this helps.

My unit is interrupting the startup and burning the 220 breaker, any thougths?

I would say it sounds like the compressor shorted or one of the three wires is/are grounding out. This should trip the breaker not melt/burn it. The other option is that the condenser fan is not coming on thus causing the compressor to overload and toasting the breaker. I am assuming that you have a 30/40 amp breaker. Once you install a new breaker the turn the unit on and see if the outside fan is working and is the compressor is running. Hope this helps tim
