Mozilla Firefox will get you to all the same sites as IE8. You can import (make a copy) of your IE8 Favourites/bookmarks into Firefox. In Firefox select FILE>IMPORT and follow the instructions.
To fix IE8 try the steps at this Microsoft page:

Main goal, upload Adobe again. Already deleted the old version, but now when I go to upload, it locks up my explorer. Some tidbits, IE8 running on Win XP, security settings are medium. PLEASE help me.....

Have you deleted or uninstalled the older Adobe? If deleted then it will not work. You have to uninstall the previous version. What happens is that very many files are written to Windows folder and we do not know which ones. Hence when we delete a program we only delete what we see and not all. For that you must uninstall the program. That will delete all files wherever they may have been written.
Please uninstall the program and then try to reinstall after a reboot.

Welcome to IE 8. Download and install Firefox / Mozilla. It's faster, more secure, and better than IE8 will ever be. The problem in IE 8 is the way it was coded and how it tries to connect to everything at once. It can't be changed unless you have the actual code and know how to program so you can make changes. Sorry

Browsr Shutting Down

Actually, this is a common problem especially if you recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 8 (IE8). The typical problem is that many sites are not yet compatible to IE8 and they cause problems and you will probably see script warning errors occasionally too. IE8 has a little icon that looks like a broken page up to the right of the URL bar that is clicked on to improve compatibility with some sites and if you click that, it may help with some sites. Many people have decided to download Mozilla Firefox and use that as their main browser until Microsoft makes a better product. Firefox works with much less errors and issues. I suggest giving that a try.

After i update mozilla firefox to version 3.5, it cannot connect to internet. what is the problem?

Are you getting an error message? If you're getting an error 'Working offline', click on file and uncheck Work Offline.

But if you're not getting any error messages, try using the Internet Explorer to make sure that there's no problem with the internet connection. If same problem occurs, then it's the problem with the internet connection and not with the Mozilla Firefox.

But if the internet worked using IE, then you need to uninstall the Firefox and re-install it. I was once had a problem like this. I'm currently using version 3.5.2.

Have a great day!

Hi,

This may be caused due to the fact that not all websites are "IE8-compatible" (they were designed for earlier versions of IE). So, to browse such websites you can turn on the compatibility feature in IE8 by clicking the Compatiblity View button next to the address bar in IE8.
