The only location to get those diagrams is the manufacturer and they only release them to authorized repair centers. The good news is the dis-assembly is not that difficult if you pay attention. There are several screws to be removes from the bottom and most likely a cover above the keyboard to remove then remove the keyboard screws. Carefully disconnect the ribbon connectors that connect the keyboard and monitor to the motherboard. Remove the hinges and monitor and the various attached devices. The problem you are going to have is the actual removal of the power connector and proper connection. These multilayer boards have connections between the layers that you need to be very careful with. It can be done. You need a solder removing tool, 35w with suction attachment and solder braid and a soldering iron. Use the Suction tool to remove the majority or the Solder then use the Soldering Iron and braid to remove the rest. If you feel any resistance what so ever keep removing the solder. Once the new part is installed through the holes make sure you have solder all the way through or you will miss a connection.

I have removed the screws that would typically hold the lower case. There seems to be a couple of hidden ones. The power connector seems to be easy to get to, just have to remove the lower shell. There seems to be some kind of hidden screw, latch or something that is holding the front of the case together even with the screws removed. There are no obvious screws on the upper shell, around the keyboard. I really don't want to have to take the laptop in for a $19 plus tax part. I am pretty good at soldering and circuit boards. This is just driving me crazy. The power flickers between A/C and D/C power. I have already replaced the power cord. Help.

There are screws under where the battery is and sometimes under the different covers that are over the ram and Hard Drive. Aside from the screws the two halves have clips that hold them together. additionally, the motherboard is mounted to the bottom half with screws you can only reach from the top, 1 of which is actually under the CD drive which must be removed before you can remove the motherboard. Having done this repair once before on an ACER I can tell you from experience it is not as easy as it appears. The motherboard must be completely removed. On the Acer I found that there were connections on top, bottom, layer 3 and layer 5. I only found the one on layer 5 because I had to run a by pass because of damage when I was removing the old AC adapter point. I had another computer that developed this problem after my son dropped it and I elected to add an Extension and adapter to plug into instead of replacing the old one. The job was much simpler and while it looks a little strange actually became a better solution. It seems thieves dislike having a laptop with this piece of wire sticking out of it so they leave it alone.

Lens stuck out

If you cannot gently push it in while powering the unit on (the unit tries to pull in the zoom lens). You need to open the unit. You need proper philips screwdrivers (PH0-PH1) and even smaller to open the unit and see if the situation can be remedied. A plastic pry tool is great if available, (one example below).
  • The zoom lens is usually operated by small plastic gears that break easily and replacements are hard to find.
  • The unit is usually a sandwich construction, that has a lot of small components. Needing a lot of skills to get it back together and working.
  • The issue might be elsewhere if the unit doesn't power on, etc.

GE dishwasher - my daughter sat on the door and it opens too far now. Which part needs replacing?

Here's a try.
You need to pull the unit out from the hole it's in so you can examine it.
Most installations have only two screws holding the two tabs to the counter at the top front.
Open the dishwasher door, and look at the very top and see if there are two screws holding the dishwasher to the countertop. If so, remove them.
The dishwasher should now pull out of the hole it is in, BUT, pull it only about halfway out, because there are several connections you do not want to break.
There is a wire hookup, a drain hose hookup , and a feedwater line hookup.
I'm hoping you can do this without disconnection all that.
Try opening and closing the door and see if you can gently bend the metal arms to make it better, or identify what is needing replacement.
Get on your computer or someone else's and type in Sears Parts.
Sears offers free schematics online that will show you pictures you can blow up to any size for any machine.
You will need to take the make and model from the plate on the door or the body of your dishwasher to get the right schematic.
If you need to order parts, many places on line sell them.
Good luck with your efforts.

I am a service technician and am in need of the diagram illustrating the schematics for cable connections to the pc board. Can anyone help me without it costing me anything?

Do you want detailed information on what each wire/signal is, or are you just needing a 'block' diagram covering what each connector generally does ?

I've got a Casio Privia (PX-400R) keyboard and it seems that the pedal jack has gone out. It's the 3 pedal jack circuit board. I took the keyboard apart almost completely to take a closer look at the jack...

Hi genoness1,

If you noticed that the pedal works on and off depending on the jack plug positioning, it is because the jack is already broken loose from the solder on the board. If the pedal that you are using can normally open as most or normally closed like Roland types, you can still replace the loosed jack. Unit has to be opened and correct jack replaced.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

My unit wont turn on

from my experience, I think your player is having a power problem. It must have received excess voltage/irregular power supply which has damaged an IC or capacitor on the power board of the player.

Sometimes this excess power supply might damage the player's main board. This is why it is advice able that you use step down for your player, because DVD player don't need excess power as something might be damaged.

To solve this problem, you will be needing a meter. Open the player, use the meter to read the components on the power board as it will help you discover the component that got damaged and you can then replace the bad component.

But if you do not have the knowledge of fixing this problem, you might be needing the help of a service technician.

Take care.

My fender hot rod delux is switching channels automatically.

In refering to the schematic i find that the MOST probable cause would be a bad switch contact on the jack the pedal plugs into. There is a normally closed contact that passes the select signal within the unit to the control circuit. If the contact vibrates open, then the unit will switch. These jacks are a pile of.... prone to failure if you use them very much. With the pedal plugged in the switch is no longer in the circuit and control is solidly by the pedal.

If you remove the amp from the cabinet you can probably bend the spring contact to temporarily fix the problem, however, use that jack a bit and the problem will come back. You could cobble a good quality Switchcraft jack with switch as a replacement and add pigtail wires to the circuitry for a little better reliability.

Open the back of tascam gtr1 to fix the input jack

0. If available, use grounding wristing band to prevent ESD damage.
1. Remove SD card and battery.
2. Remove 2 screws in battery compartment.
3. Slide back panel upward towards top of unit and it snaps off.
4. To remove front panel, gently pry two tabs at top between microphones and front panel pops off (jog dial and washer will also pop off).
5. Microphone jumpers must be disconnected from PCB headers to completely remove top panel. (Note: guitar jack solder pins are accessible without removing microphone jumpers, may be able to re-solder directly. )
