Question about Craftsman 25cc Gas Line Trimmer
First of all, the purge/primer bulb DOES NOT have to be completely full for the engine to start. Secondly, the air escaping could be a leak in the carb (a gasket) or you could have cracks at the ends of one or more of your fuel lines. Inspect the fuel lines good with the back covers off so you can see...maybe push the bulb and have someone listen for where the leak is? Different issues can be going on here too....but alot of times with these machines, it is a fuel-related issue. Where the bulb is could be leaking too (cover housing). Pull spark plug. Is it wet or smell like gas? This will let you know if gas is coming thru the carb to the engine at least. Is it clean or fouled? 2-Strokes don't do well at all with ANY air leaks and it usually causes them not to start. If one does have an air leak somewhere and by chance you get it running, you could damage the engine because of the overabundance of air intake compared to lubrication (very lean running condition)
