EOBD II Error Code: 25
Description:
System too Lean, Bank 1
Possible Causes:
- Intake/exhaust leak.
- Secondary air injection (AIR) system.
- Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.
- Mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
- Fuel pressure/pump.
- Injector(s).
- Evaporation emission (EVAP) canister purge valve.
- Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
- Contaminated fuel.

EOBD II Error Code: 26
Fault Location:
System too Rich, Bank 1
Description:
- Evaporation emission (EVAP) canister purge valve .

Failed smog due to "air injection"


What did you find wrong with the Thermactor/air injection system? If it was a system fault code that indicated the system is not working you likely need to replace the electric pump for the injection. Air injection speeds up the Catalytic chemical process by adding Oxygen when the engine is cold and Hydrocarbon production by the engine is higher. It runs for a very short time and then is shut down by the on board computer when it see the correct O2 signals.

Circuit/System Description
The secondary air injection (AIR) system aids in the reduction of hydrocarbon emissions during a cold start. The system forces fresh filtered air into the exhaust stream in order to accelerate the catalyst operation. An electric air pump, the secondary AIR injection pump, provides filtered air on demand to the AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly. The AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly controls the flow of air from the AIR pump to the exhaust manifold. The AIR solenoid valve relay supplies the current needed to operate the AIR solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly. A pressure sensor is used to monitor the air flow from the AIR pump. The powertrain control module (PCM) supplies the internal pressure sensor with a 5-volt reference, an electrical ground, and a signal circuit.
The AIR diagnostic uses 3 phases to test the AIR system:
DTCs P0411 and P2430 run during Phase 1
DTCs P2430 and P2440 run during Phase 2
DTC P2444 runs during Phase 3
During phase 1, both the AIR pump and the solenoid valve are activated. Normal secondary air function occurs. Expected system pressure is 8-10 kPa above BARO.
During phase 2, only the AIR pump is activated. The solenoid valve is closed. Pressure sensor performance and solenoid valve deactivation are tested. Expected system pressure is 15-20 kPa above BARO.
During phase 3, neither the AIR pump nor the solenoid valve is activated. AIR pump deactivation is tested. Expected system pressure equals BARO.
In all 3 phases, testing is accomplished by comparing the measured pressure against the expected pressure. The PCM can detect faults in the AIR pump, AIR solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly, and the exhaust check valve. The pressure sensor can also detect leaks and restrictions in the secondary AIR system plumbing.

Fuel filter is location under car? my car will die out if fuel pedal is pushed to hard. starts right back up but does not like to be excellerated fast.


check your air filter is not blocked.Try running it without the air filter fitted.if that does not solve the problem i would suggest a new air flow meter be fitted.

I fixed used injection pump to engine and is not starting,i check oniy to fine out that the pump is not injecting fuel to the injectors.the timing is good.it is nissan navara 2000 model


1) There could be an air lock to the fuel system, try to bleed the system.
2) If the fuel is reaching the injector pump & not supplying to the injectors nozzles thn the pump needs attention.

Secondary air injection system malfunction


CHECK AIR PUMP FUSE 25 AMP AND CHECK THE SECONDARY AIR INJECTION PUMP RELAY.IF ALL IS GOOD AIR PUMP HAS A BAD SOLENOID OR THE PUMP IS FAULTY.

My 1998 atlas copco xas 97 185cfm deutch diesel shuts down when i open full air


Check the Deutch diesel engine controls. Normally with
the compressor at full open, engine must continously run, sionce this is the point where the engine is not
heavy loaded. Check the injection pump as well as engine speed control and the air filter.
